What You'll Do

We are seeking an experienced HR professional to join the BCG X Global People & Development (P&D) team as a Manager supporting X Delivery. This role partners closely with business leaders and P&D stakeholders to deliver high-quality people processes, provide trusted HR advisory support, and enhance the employee experience across the employee lifecycle. The Manager will also lead and develop one direct report while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement across key people processes.


Key responsibilities include:


Career Development (CD)

  • Manage CD processes for the supported employee population, ensuring effective planning, execution, governance, and follow-through of CDC cycles
  • Partner with CD Advisors, business leaders, and P&D stakeholders to ensure smooth preparation and facilitation of CDC discussions
  • Provide informed recommendations during talent discussions, ensuring consistency, fairness, and alignment across employee groups
  • Oversee feedback processes, ensuring timely completion, quality standards, and meaningful employee development conversations
  • Identify talent trends, capability gaps, and potential risks, sharing insights and recommendations with business and P&D leaders
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of Career Development processes, enhancing efficiency, consistency, and employee experience

Employee Lifecycle & HR Advisory

Provide trusted HR partnership across the employee lifecycle while balancing employee experience and business priorities:

  • Onboarding: Oversee onboarding activities to ensure a consistent and engaging experience for new employees
  • Probation & Performance Milestones: Partner with managers and CD Advisors to support probation reviews, performance milestones, and employee development discussions
  • Employee Relations & Leave Management: Provide guidance on employee relations matters, leave management, and sensitive people situations, partnering with senior P&D colleagues, local HR, and Legal where appropriate
  • Employee Exits: Manage exit processes end-to-end, including exit interviews, trend analysis, and recommendations to improve employee retention and engagement
  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure employee lifecycle processes are executed in accordance with local regulations and global P&D standards

Stakeholder Management & Employee Experience

  • Build trusted relationships with business leaders, CD Advisors, and employees, serving as a key People & Development partner
  • Translate business priorities into effective people plans and actions while ensuring alignment with P&D processes and policies
  • Proactively identify employee experience opportunities and people-related risks, recommending practical solutions and escalating where appropriate
  • Champion employee engagement, inclusion, and culture-building initiatives across the supported employee population
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams including Staffing, Recruitment, Finance, and local HR to deliver seamless people support

People Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop one direct report by providing ongoing feedback, mentoring, and career development support
  • Set priorities, allocate work effectively, and ensure high-quality and timely delivery across operational activities
  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team environment that encourages continuous learning and accountability
  • Share knowledge and best practices across the broader P&D team to strengthen team capability and consistency

Reporting, Insights & Continuous Improvement

  • Coordinate recurring and ad hoc workforce reporting, ensuring data accuracy and timely delivery
  • Analyze workforce metrics including headcount, attrition, employee movement, leave of absence, and organizational trends to support informed people decisions
  • Conduct regular audits of people data and drive corrective actions to maintain data quality and compliance
  • Present workforce insights and recommendations to business and P&D leaders to support workforce planning and operational decisions
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, governance, and employee experience across key people processes

What You'll Bring

  • 8–10 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, People & Development, or Talent Management, preferably within a professional services or consulting environment
  • Experience partnering with business leaders on talent management and employee lifecycle topics
  • Some experience managing or mentoring a team member preferred
  • Good understanding of talent management, employee relations, and HR processes
  • Experience with HR systems such as Workday is a plus
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and digital collaboration platforms
