What You'll Do
Reporting to the HR Director, Global Business & Functions (GBF), you will act as a key HR
Advisor to People Managers, their teams, and employees. You will primarily be the HR Advisor to
assigned Business(s) / Function(s) in India region and will be part of a broader HR Advisory team
supporting 1600+ Global Services employees in the region.
You will be responsible for providing HR Advice to senior management, people managers and teams on HR matters, working closely with the Global Services HR Business Partner & Talent Partners for the assigned Business(s) / Function(s) to help drive the HR Strategy and managing the interplay between precise HR operations, stakeholder management, employee support and broader HR initiatives and projects.
Operating as a key business advisor and subject matter expert with assigned business/ function(s) through business knowledge, relationship management and proactive interventions, this role is critical for creating a culture where our employees are valued members of BCG in the region and can manage their careers to meet their personal aspirations and drive outcomes in line with BCGs business objectives. This role requires extensive collaboration across the HR Business Partner, Talent partners, Core HR Delivery, Regional Partners, and Operational CoEs.
What You'll Bring
- Preferred, 8+ years of HR/People Advisory, consulting experience, or relevant experience in professional services environment strongly preferred
- M.B.A / Specialization in Human Resources, Organization Development or related field
- Be a strong and approachable HR generalist with deep understanding of local geography and legal requirements
- Depth of experience in HR practices, including performance and talent mgt., engagement, compensation, employee relations.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, sound judgement and the ability to juggle many often competing priorities simultaneously.
- Able to perform successfully in a fast-paced, intellectually intense, service-oriented, and matrix-structured environment and to interpret rules and guidelines flexibly
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, and trust/credibility with the demonstrated ability to develop effective relationships at all levels of the organization
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proven ability to diagnose problems and identify and drive appropriate solutions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Detail oriented, organized with advanced project and process management skills
- Strong teaming, collaboration, and relationship skills
- Strong in excel, PowerPoint, and other digital products such as Workday.
Who You'll Work With
You will be part of the Global Business & Functions People team, working closely with HRBPs, Talent Partners, Core HR, Talent Acquisition, and global HR teams across India, North America, and Europe. You will support a diverse employee base across Business & Functions in India.

YOU’RE GOOD AT
- HR Advisory: Providing advice to management, their teams and employees on people related topics (career planning, performance management, coaching, compensation, legal risk mitigation/compliance, employee relations and learning and development). Developing and maintaining effective business relationships with functionally aligned client groups, the HR team and broader HR community
- Technical Expertise and coaching: You will coach employees and Managers on complex HR issues including Policies / Processes and People matters, and bring deep technical and local HR expertise and to support through the BCG employee lifecycle journey.
- Employee relations: Serving as the primary point of contact for employee relations your Business/ functions in the region, offering expert guidance and resolution strategies. End to end ownership of ER; resolving workplace conflict, managing grievances, effective communication, and fostering positive culture & engagement.
- Compliance w/ employment laws & regulations: ensuring organization follows all applicable employment laws & regulations, keeping up to date with legal changes, and integrating these changes into HR practices and policies. First point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR policies and procedures ensuring appropriate communication and consistent application
- Performance management: assist in mgt of performance reviews & processes, ensuring fairness, transparency & compliance; End-to-end management of PIPs
- Training & development: provide on the ground insights to HRBPs on development needs and lead design & execution of locally led, in person, training
- Career Development: Support career development for our employees, including clarification of our career framework, creation and communication of learning and development opportunities to build capability and expertise including Line Manager coaching etc.
- Supporting key HR and People Processes: Ensures all HR processes related to Employee cycle (viz. year-end reviews, comp cycles, organizational transformation, etc.), are seamlessly executed to the highest standards while being legally compliant
- Understanding business goals and market trends: leveraging insight to recommend and influence new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity and development of HR.
- Drive continuous improvement: realize economies of scale and seek opportunities to leverage technology to create efficiencies.
- Key HR Initiatives: Participate and/ or lead where assigned, in projects or Key HR Initiatives collaborating across HR subfunctions or with stakeholders in other functions / businesses
