What You'll Do

As a Project Leader in BCG’s Financial Institutions Practice in Cairo you will lead consulting teams and work closely with senior executives at banks, fintech, and other financial institutions to address their most critical strategic and operational challenges. You will play a key role in structuring complex problems, developing recommendations, and ensuring projects deliver meaningful and sustainable impact.

You will collaborate with colleagues and industry experts across the region and BCG’s global network to help clients navigate disruption, accelerate digital transformation, strengthen risk and regulatory capabilities, and unlock new growth opportunities.

Examples of engagements may include:

  • Outline the expansion strategy for an investment bank across Africa, launching new geographies and products
  • Manage the corporate transformation implementation for a large bank
  • Lead a behavioral transformation case for a top bank to drive profitability focus within their go to market teams
  • Lead a review to address the deteriorating asset quality of a key financial institution
  • Launch a go to market model for key customer segments of a leading bank
  • Define the restructuring of the operating model of a fast growing fintech

On a day-to-day basis, you will:

  • Lead project teams to analyse complex challenges and deliver strategic recommendations for financial institutions
  • Translate analytical insights into clear, actionable strategies for senior client stakeholders
  • Manage project execution, ensuring high-quality delivery, strong collaboration, and timely outcomes
  • Build trusted relationships with client leaders and facilitate productive discussions and decision-making
  • Coach and develop junior consultants, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment
  • Contribute to knowledge development and thought leadership within BCG’s Financial Institutions practice
  • Support business development activities, including proposal preparation and client engagement


What You'll Bring

  • 7 to 12 years of relevant experience in top-tier consulting, financial services, or a related industry with demonstrated consulting experience
  • Deep expertise in banking, payments, fintech or asset management
  • Demonstrated expertise in project management and leadership to provide proficiency in prioritizing and balancing multiple project demands
  • Excellent analytical, and strategic thinking abilities to develop transformative solutions
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills to engage and align cross- functional teams
  • Adept at relationship building and client management across various levels.
  • Commitment to inclusivity, developing others and creating an environment of mutual trust and respect
