To succeed, organizations must blend digital and human capabilities. Our diverse, global teams bring deep industry and functional expertise and a range of perspectives to spark change. BCG delivers solutions through leading-edge management consulting along with technology and design, corporate and digital ventures—and business purpose. We work in a uniquely collaborative model across the firm and throughout all levels of the client organization, generating results that allow our clients to thrive.
Practice Area
"Inspiring the bold who advance the health of care." BCG’s global Health Care team works across the health care ecosystem to deliver sustainable competitive advantage for our clients, to create value for society, and to improve outcomes for patients. And we are passionate about it. We are committed to developing new insights and, through our customized approach, helping organizations navigate rapid change in today’s digital world. What You'll Do
BCG is growing! We are looking for experienced consultants to join our Health Care team at the Project Leader or Principal level. Qualified individuals will play a critical role in enriching project work and bringing forward-thinking solutions to our Health Care Services clients – primarily health systems and health insurance companies. Ideal candidates will have previous management consulting experience and demonstrated leadership in growing client relations, people and knowledge development. In this role, you will lead high-impact transformation programs, partnering with OneBCG teams — spanning traditional consulting, digital, AI, and technology talent — as well as senior client stakeholders. This is an outstanding opportunity to sharpen your problem-solving toolkit while gaining exposure to a broad range of industry challenges and opportunities.
Our Expert Consulting Track
The Expert Consulting Track (ECT) is vital to BCG’s ability to successfully meet our clients’ demand for deep expertise and advanced technical capabilities. Experts deliver next-level impact for BCG's most complex and cutting-edge client challenges. Experts focus on developing BCG's thought leadership, commercial capabilities, and intellectual property assets; and their work is essential to our delivery model. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team to bring the ‘best of BCG’ to our clients, Experts come from diverse backgrounds, with expertise often gained outside of BCG in industry, academia, or specialized consulting.
What You'll Bring
- Demonstrated consulting and industry experience within the Health Care Services sector; Health insurance, health system, or PBM / enabling service experience preferred.
- 3–5+ years of post-graduate consulting experience, including at least 1 year leading consulting teams on Health Care Services-focused engagements.
- Track record of collaboration with senior executives. Must be comfortable delivering formal presentations to management.
- Strong management and communication skills. The ability to bring together all stakeholders and persuade senior clients to take action is essential.
- Strong analytical skills and a high capacity for conceptual thinking. Ability to develop leading edge business models, frameworks for analysis, and long-term business strategies that maximize shareholder value. Must be able to thrive in a hypothesis-based environment where inductive rather than deductive reasoning is the norm.
- Proven ability to manage client engagements, client relationships, and provide “thought leadership” to teams, owning the responsibility for the quality of engagements.
- A combination of management and “hands on” delivery experience is critical.
- A solid track record of building strong client relationships with large organizations, as well as identifying opportunities to deepen those relationships and grow the business.
- Technical degree is nice to have but not required.
- A degree from a top-tier institution preferred.
