What You'll Do
The Engineering Toolkit squad removes tooling friction for BCG X case teams by provisioning, supporting, and evolving the engineering platforms they rely on. The team enables engineers to focus on solving client problems by delivering secure, scalable, and self-service development capabilities.
As a Senior Specialist, you will help shape the squad's AI enablement strategy while owning critical developer platforms and engineering services. You'll partner with engineering teams, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to evaluate emerging technologies, build practical solutions for case teams, and expand self-service capabilities through documentation, automation, and training.
Key responsibilities include:
Drive AI enablement initiatives by evaluating, developing, and supporting Generative AI solutions for engineering teams.
Own and administer JFrog Artifactory, including repository management, Xray, Projects, and storage governance.
Manage the Gurobi optimization environment and its on-premises cluster, ensuring reliable operations and case team enablement.
Administer and continuously improve the GitHub Enterprise ecosystem, including Copilot, Actions, Codespaces, and developer security tooling.
Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot developer platforms across Windows and Linux environments.
Identify, prioritize, and remediate security vulnerabilities across engineering platforms and servers.
Support and administer low-code and no-code platforms, including Lovable and Replit, to accelerate engineering productivity.
Create documentation, onboarding materials, and technical training that enable teams to adopt platforms independently and increase self-service across the organization.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong knowledge of the GitHub Enterprise ecosystem, including Copilot, Actions, Codespaces, and developer security tooling.
- Experience administering JFrog Artifactory, including Xray, Projects, repository management, and storage governance.
- Experience managing the Gurobi optimizer environment and supporting on-premises compute clusters.
- Strong systems administration experience across Windows and Linux, including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and automation.
- Solid understanding of server administration and networking, including DNS, load balancing, SSL/TLS certificate management, and related infrastructure concepts.
- Experience identifying, remediating, and managing security vulnerabilities across engineering platforms and infrastructure.
- Proficiency in Python, Shell, or similar scripting languages to automate operational workflows.
- Familiarity with SAML-based authentication, Okta integration, and modern identity and access management concepts.
- Knowledge of low-code/no-code platform administration, including tools such as Lovable and Replit.
- Curiosity and adaptability to evaluate emerging AI technologies and translate them into practical engineering solutions while collaborating effectively across engineering, infrastructure, and business teams.
Who You'll Work With
Working closely with the rest of the Engineering Toolkit Squad, as well as case teams, external You'll be part of the Engineering Toolkit Squad within the Platform Experience Portfolio in the Enterprise Platforms and Engineering organization at Tech@BCG. The squad exists to enable case teams across both BCG X and the broader management consulting business by provisioning, securing, and supporting the engineering toolkit they rely on every day.
You'll collaborate closely with engineers, case teams, Infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable developer platforms spanning source control, CI/CD, AI-assisted development, scientific computing, and other engineering capabilities. Working with colleagues across global teams, you'll help improve self-service experiences, share technical expertise, and enable developers to move faster while delivering secure, scalable solutions that accelerate business outcomes.
