What You'll Do
As Senior Manager, Product Owner – Information Excellence, you will set the vision and strategy for BCG’s global Information Excellence platform. You will shape how we govern, secure, and protect client deliverables and case team materials across BCG engagements, balancing the needs of our consulting teams with evolving risk, legal, security, and compliance requirements.
You will work closely with consultants, senior leaders, and partners across Risk, Legal, and Information Security Risk Management to translate business needs into a clear product roadmap. As technology evolves, you will also help create the conditions for case teams to use GenAI tools securely and appropriately, enabling more efficient and effective ways of working while maintaining the controls required to protect BCG and our clients.
- Set and evolve the global vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Information Excellence platform.
- Translate consulting-team needs and BCG priorities into clear product outcomes and investment priorities.
- Partner across Risk, Legal, ISRM, and technology teams to embed appropriate governance, security, and compliance controls.
- Guide the secure and appropriate adoption of GenAI capabilities within case team workflows and information-management practices.
- Lead product delivery across a matrixed team of product, engineering, and technical colleagues, aligning priorities and removing barriers to progress.
- Engage senior leaders and consultants to gather insights, shape decisions, and build alignment around product direction and priorities.
- Anticipate product, delivery, and risk dependencies, establishing mitigation plans and adapting the roadmap as needs evolve.
- Manage and develop a Product Analyst, providing clear direction, feedback, and opportunities for growth.
What You'll Bring
- 7–10 years of product ownership or product management experience in a large enterprise environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; a relevant master’s degree is preferred.
- Deep Agile expertise, ideally supported by relevant product or Agile certifications.
- Proven ability to assess complex organizational needs and translate them into product vision, strategy, and roadmaps.
- Strong experience building alignment across diverse users, senior leaders, and cross-functional technology partners.
- Experience with enterprise collaboration platforms such as SharePoint, Teams, Slack, and Exchange, including security, compliance, sensitivity labeling, and retention considerations.
- Strong understanding of information governance, security, legal, compliance, and risk considerations; professional services experience is preferred.
Who You'll Work With
You will be part of the Digital Collaboration Product Portfolio within Digital Workplace Experience, one of the largest pillars of Tech@BCG. The portfolio brings together the strategy, standards, and delivery of collaboration and productivity capabilities that support how BCG teams work globally. You will report to the Product Portfolio Lead for Digital Collaboration and partner closely with fellow Product Owners to shape an integrated roadmap aligned with the broader portfolio strategy. You will also work closely with a Technical Lead and a matrixed team of product, engineering, and technical colleagues to translate the Information Excellence vision into effective technology solutions.
