What You'll Do
As the Global Finance Data Governance Senior Manager, you will play a critical role in strengthening the integrity, reliability, and availability of BCG’s global finance data. You will help ensure that Finance systems and reporting solutions provide trusted, high-quality data that supports decision-making, compliance, and operational excellence.
As part of the Global Finance Excellence team, you will lead the development of a scalable Finance data quality capability, working across global, regional, and local teams. You will partner with the Finance Product Portfolio, Enterprise Data, Technology, Data Owners, and Data Stewards to establish consistent standards, make data quality measurable, and address issues at their source. You will also help ensure Finance data is ready to support emerging AI and automation opportunities.
- Develop and lead consistent data quality standards and validation rules across Finance, consolidating fragmented practices into scalable global approaches.
- Establish a global framework for measuring and reporting data quality through meaningful KPIs and actionable scorecards.
- Identify complex data quality challenges, determine root causes, and prioritize sustainable improvements.
- Partner with Data Owners, Data Stewards, Product Owners, and Technology teams to strengthen controls, processes, and data definitions.
- Connect measurement and remediation to track improvements, identify emerging risks, and continuously improve data quality.
- Translate AI and automation data requirements into Finance data quality priorities and define what “AI-ready” data means.
- Apply hands-on AI and automation capabilities to improve data quality through intelligent validation, monitoring, and anomaly detection.
- Influence senior and cross-functional partners to build alignment around Finance data priorities, standards, and improvement initiatives.
What You'll Bring
- 8+ years of relevant experience, including hands-on data quality or data management work, preferably in a Finance context
- Bachelor’s or higher degree, preferably in mathematics, statistics, data science or Finance/ Accounting
- Deep knowledge of data quality frameworks, controls, validation approaches, and related business processes.
- Hands-on AI/ML experience, including prototyping, building, or deploying AI-powered solutions.
- Experience with modern data technologies such as Snowflake, Python, Tableau, dbt, or similar tools.
- Ability to translate data and AI requirements into practical data quality priorities and solutions.
Who You'll Work With
You will be part of BCG's Global Finance Excellence team and work closely with colleagues across global, regional, and local Finance teams. You will partner with Finance Product, Enterprise Data, Technology, and Finance Data Owners and Data Stewards across domains such as supplier, worker and organization, client, and cost center data.
You will also collaborate with BCG's AI and emerging technology teams and engage senior business partners across functions to advance Finance data quality priorities.
