As a AI Tech Architect/ Senior AI Tech Architect, you will work with BCG and BCG Platinion case teams across Southeast Asia to help clients define, design, and deliver technology architectures that enable AI, GenAI, data, and broader digital transformation.
You will bring together business strategy, enterprise architecture, and deep technology expertise, working closely with senior client stakeholders to translate complex business challenges into pragmatic technology solutions and transformation roadmaps.
In this role, you will:
- Work cohesively with hybrid BCG/BCG Platinion teams on AI, data, digital, and broader technology transformation engagements.
- Advise clients across a range of industries on AI/GenAI architecture, data platforms, cloud architecture, application modernization, and enterprise technology transformation.
- Align business and technology strategies, helping clients understand where AI and emerging technologies can create tangible business value.
- Assess current-state application, data, cloud, integration, and AI landscapes and define target-state architectures and transformation roadmaps.
- Design solution, application, data, AI/GenAI, integration, and cloud architectures for complex enterprise environments.
- Develop technical concepts, architecture blueprints, feasibility assessments, proofs of concept, and implementation approaches.
- Design and assess enterprise GenAI solutions, including topics such as LLM integration, RAG, AI agents, orchestration, model/platform selection, AI infrastructure, security, and responsible AI considerations.
- Evaluate technology platforms, software solutions, cloud services, AI products, and vendors based on business and technical requirements.
- Review technical architectures, engineering approaches, and where appropriate code or implementation designs to ensure scalability, security, reliability, and maintainability.
- Support clients in moving from experimentation and proofs of concept to production-grade, scalable AI solutions.
- Analyse complex and high-risk technology environments and identify opportunities to optimize architecture, software delivery, and operating models.
- Facilitate workshops with business and technology leaders to identify requirements, evaluate architectural options, and build alignment around target solutions.
- Structure and lead modules/workstreams within technology transformation and implementation programs.
- Develop compelling recommendations and communicate complex technical topics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Build relationships with senior client stakeholders, including CIOs, CTOs, CDOs and other executives.
- Contribute to BCG Platinion's thought leadership on AI, GenAI, enterprise architecture, and emerging technology trends.
- Support business development activities including proposal development, solution shaping, and project scoping.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to the continued development of BCG Platinion's architecture capabilities in Southeast Asia.

- 5-10 years of relevant professional experience, preferably within a strategy, management, or technology consulting environment and/or a leading technology organization.
- Experience working in technology/enterprise architecture, with depth in one or more areas such as solution architecture, application architecture, data architecture, cloud architecture, or AI architecture.
- Strong understanding of modern AI and GenAI architectures, including how AI solutions integrate into broader enterprise technology landscapes.
- Experience designing or advising on AI/GenAI solutions such as:
- Generative AI applications and platforms
- Large Language Models and model integration
- Retrieval-Augmented Generation/RAG
- Agentic AI and orchestration patterns
- Vector databases and semantic search
- AI/ML platforms and MLOps/LLMOps
- AI APIs, microservices, and integration architectures
- AI security, governance, monitoring, and responsible AI
- Good understanding of modern data platform architecture, including patterns such as Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, Lakehouses, structured/unstructured data, data pipelines, and analytics platforms.
- Experience with major cloud ecosystems such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud, including cloud-native architecture and deployment approaches.
- Understanding of integration methodologies and architecture patterns including APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures, and distributed systems.
- Exposure to application modernization, software engineering principles, DevOps, CI/CD, containers, and modern application delivery practices.
- Ability to evaluate technology options and translate technical trade-offs into clear implications for business leaders.
- Experience performing technology assessments, architecture reviews, target-state design, and transformation roadmap development.
- Ability to move comfortably between strategic discussions and technical architecture detail.
- Strong analytical skills, structured problem solving, and ability to work in a hypothesis-driven consulting environment.
- Excellent communication, storytelling, client-facing, and consulting skills.
- Ability to communicate complex AI and technology concepts effectively to senior executives.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and confidence working across business, technology, engineering, data, and risk teams.
- Comfortable working through ambiguity and shaping solutions where requirements or technology choices are not yet fully defined.
- Broad interest in emerging digital/technology trends and their implications across industries.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline. An advanced degree is advantageous.
- GenAI tool fluency, including hands-on familiarity with tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent platforms.
- Flexibility to travel across Southeast Asia.
