Your business is our business. If our Business Management and Operations Team had a slogan, that’s what it would be. The fact is, though, that the members of this team are far too busy ensuring our consultants’ work is efficient and productive to have the time to come up with slogans. Whether Executive or Management Assistant, Receptionist, Facility Staff member, Team Lead, or Office Manager: Each and every member of the Business Management and Operations Team contributes directly to our consultants’ success—and thus to that of our clients.
What You'll Do
As an assertive and dynamic Office Operations (Senior) Manager, you’ll be the mind and soul of our Budapest office — and your reach will extend further still. Beyond Budapest, you’ll bring the same energy and ownership to our affiliate offices in Zagreb, Bucharest, and Ljubljana, giving you a unique perspective across four offices and cultures.
You’ll manage and oversee all administrative processes and services, shape office culture, organize essential support services, and develop models to enhance internal processes — ensuring an efficient and productive work environment across all four locations.
Acting as a central point of contact across cohorts and legal entities, you’ll foster smooth collaboration in the spirit of ONE BCG. You’ll serve as a key interface between consulting staff, operations, leadership, and support functions such as HR, IT, Marketing, Legal, and Finance. You’ll also serve as a trusted and neutral point of contact for employees, acting as an ear to the organization and helping them navigate internal structures and resources, while using a thoughtful, coaching-oriented approach to complex interpersonal situations.
You’ll play a key role in shaping office culture and affiliation. You’ll guide the events function in delivering flagship and smaller-scale office events, trusting your team to execute while you provide direction and support. You’ll own the local social event budget and use data and insights to develop affiliation initiatives that strengthen connection, inclusion, and identification with the office. As Teaming@BCG Champion, you’ll strengthen collaboration and exchange across teams, functions, and locations.
As a trusted sparring partner to the local Office Leader and leadership team, you’ll support strategic and change initiatives and the introduction of new employee programs, tools, and ways of working. You’ll also support effective internal office communication, bringing local needs and perspectives into broader BCG priorities.
You’ll continuously monitor and optimize internal processes and services, identifying opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, employee experience, and cost effectiveness. You’ll manage the local operations budget, including CAPEX, ensuring sound financial planning, cost control, and alignment with central planning guidelines.
You’ll own facility management, workplace services, and procurement, including rental contracts, renovations, maintenance, office-related products and services, and the management of facility and in-office experience providers. Working closely with Global Real Estate and relevant local partners, you’ll support the local real estate strategy, including lease negotiations and space planning, monitor occupancy and space utilization, and drive sustainable, future-oriented workplace solutions.
You’ll lead and develop the local Office Operations team of five, spanning administrative functions including reception, events, and knowledge management, fostering an inclusive, growth-oriented environment.
In collaboration with Safety & Security and relevant functions, you’ll support compliance with relevant internal policies and local legal requirements and oversee health and safety and local crisis management. You’ll also serve as a Mental Health First Aider and key point of contact for mental health topics, contributing to a supportive and psychologically safe work environment.
Beyond your local responsibilities, you’ll contribute to and lead selected projects and initiatives across Central Europe, taking ownership of topics relevant to multiple offices and bringing your operational expertise and cross-functional perspective to broader regional priorities.
