What You'll Do

The Global Digital Marketing Automation Senior Specialist is a deep, day-to-day expert in Marketo (or an equivalent platform such as Eloqua, Pardot, or HubSpot) who owns and optimizes our marketing automation engine. You’ll manage everything from advanced campaign builds and third-party integrations to lead lifecycle strategy, event operations, and data governance — acting as the platform’s subject matter expert across the organization.

This is an ideal role for someone who has moved beyond basic email sends and wants to own the architecture, personalization, and performance of a marketing automation instance end-to-end.

Platform Management & Campaign Execution

  • Manage, build, and optimize advanced Marketo core assets daily, including Smart Campaigns, Programs, Smart Lists, and flow logic
  • Build and maintain universal, advanced Marketo Forms with progressive profiling, UTM parameter capture, hidden fields, and custom JavaScript for use across multiple workspaces
  • Design and deploy standard landing page templates integrated with social sharing/network components
  • Create reusable snippets for standardized footers and modular content blocks across landing pages and emails

Integrations & Tech Stack

  • Integrate and manage third-party platforms within Marketo, including webinar/virtual event tools (Zoom, ON24), event registration platforms (Aventri, Certain), and mobile push notification channels
  • Work with CRM platforms such as Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics, ensuring seamless lead/contact flow, field mapping, and sync configuration between Marketo and the CRM
  • Troubleshoot CRM–Marketo sync issues (e.g., sync errors, field mismatches, duplicate records, blocked syncs) and implement fixes to maintain reliable, real-time data flow - Apply data enrichment practices — using enrichment tools, form-based progressive profiling, and third-party data append — to keep lead and contact records complete and up to date
  • Demonstrate strong API familiarity, including configuring and managing API user roles/permissions, working with REST APIs for platform integrations, and troubleshooting API- based data exchanges
  • Test new services, integrations, and platform updates prior to launch

Lead Lifecycle: Nurturing, Scoring & Personalization

  • Build and maintain lead nurturing and lead scoring programs at both the global/instance level and individual campaign level
  • Design and execute web personalization campaigns using dynamic content, web campaigns, and audience segments
  • Develop lifecycle models and continuously refine scoring frameworks to improve lead quality and MQL conversion

Data Management & Segmentation

  • Define and maintain audience segmentation strategies at both the client/account level and individual project level
  • Own database hygiene, list imports, and data quality processes to maintain a clean, actionable database
  • Support governance and documentation standards for data usage across programs

Events & Content Programs

  • Manage end-to-end program setup for trade shows, including personalized agendas and dynamic imagery per attendee/segment
  • Build and manage webinar, online event, and gated content programs, including registration, reminder, and follow-up flows
  • Own program status tracking and post-event hygiene (e.g., processing attendee/lead downloads, deduplication, list cleanup)

Enablement, Governance & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as subject-matter expert (SME) for the marketing automation platform, supporting troubleshooting, consultations, and new project readiness
  • Provide training and documentation to internal teams, marketing ops representatives, and business stakeholders
  • Partner with stakeholders to define requirements, governance standards, and rollout plans for new pilots or workspaces
  • Support onboarding of new projects/workspaces onto the platform, including QA and functionality testing

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 4–7 years of hands-on experience managing a marketing automation platform (Marketo strongly preferred; Eloqua, Pardot, or HubSpot experience also considered)
  • Marketo Certified Expert certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
  • Proven experience building advanced Smart Campaigns, Programs, and multi-step nurture/lead scoring logic
  • Experience integrating Marketo with third-party tools (webinar platforms, event management tools, CRM, mobile/push notification systems)
  • Working knowledge of CRM platforms (Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics), including lead/contact sync configuration and troubleshooting CRM–Marketo data flow issues
  • Familiarity with data enrichment tools and practices to maintain accurate and complete records
  • Strong working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and responsive/media-query email template design
  • Experience with progressive profiling, dynamic/personalized content, and web segmentation
  • Solid understanding of database segmentation, list hygiene, and data governance best practices
  • Experience managing event marketing programs (webinars, trade shows, gated content) end-to-end
  • Familiarity with Git or a similar version control tool (e.g., GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket) for tracking changes to custom scripts, JavaScript used in forms/landing pages, and code-based assets

  • Experience supporting global, multi-region marketing operations
  • Exposure to lifecycle model design and cross-functional campaign governance
