About the Role:
As an essential member of the America’s sourcing team, the Sr. Indirect Sourcing Specialist oversees the complete execution of sourcing events for various operational categories, including facilities, information systems, sales, marketing, professional services, MRO, R&D, and additional categories as required. This role is responsible for developing and managing sourcing processes, implementing strategies that align with business goals, and driving cost savings, while ensuring exceptional customer service across all divisions, sites, and regions. NOTE: This position is hybrid, which will require you to work on-site at least three days a week.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Executing end-to-end sourcing events to align with stakeholder goals; develop and review sourcing event documentation and analyze requests for proposals or quotes
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with external and internal stakeholders to achieve annual cost savings and value contribution targets
  • Analyzing spend data to identify cost-saving opportunities, negotiate price and obtain the best value for customers
  • Analyzing supplier financials and capabilities to drive supplier selection and negotiate favorable payment terms
  • Managing supplier relationships to resolve inquiries and disputes for internal customers
  • Partnering with BSC’s legal team to negotiate, develop and manage supplier contracts; review and approve terms to ensure alignment with stakeholder goals
  • Educating internal stakeholders on BSC’s sourcing and financial policies


Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 4 years of strategic sourcing experience
  • Experience with end-to-end procurement process and contract management
  • Proficient with MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with ERP systems (i.e. SAP and Ariba)


Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working in medical device or similarly regulated industry
  • Effective decision-making and negotiation skills, ability to influence internal and external teams
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate effectively with individuals on all levels
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills; ability to manage competing priorities
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete projects
  • Analytical with effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills
