We are seeking a R&D Engineer III on a permanent basis to join us on our mission.
Job Purpose:
As an R&D Engineer III you will develop products, materials, processes, or equipment for projects of moderate complexity. Under limited supervision/guidance, compiles, analyzes, and reports operational, test, and research data to establish performance standards for newly designed or modified products, processes, and materials creates and maintains design-related technical notes (notebooks, protocols, validations, qualifications, manufacturing documents, etc.) building a complete design history.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working on the calcium PDP, TDP and Exploratory
- Coordinate and support activities of a number of technicians in an assigned phase of a development project.
- Support marketing in gathering customer feedback on next generation products.
- Product demonstrations at conferences
- Early conceptual work as part of exploratory in the calcium space
- Interface with Operations, Process Development, R&D, MTS, AEEG or Equipment Engineer and vendors.
- Communicate changes in project milestones and write project reports as required.
- Evaluate in conjunction with EHS new equipment/processes/chemicals for environmental impact/effect to eliminate or lessen such impacts/effects.
- Interface with Marketing, Operations, Quality Assurance, vendors and possibly physicians.
- Provide technical guidance within a large team and be an effective communicator within a multidisciplinary and international organisation.
- Apply the Technical Development Process (TDP) and Product Development Process (PDP) methodologies.
- Demonstrate a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality.
- Understands and complies with all the regulations governing the quality systems.
- Ensure all direct reports are aware of their commitment to patient safety and product quality, are current with their training requirements and that they understand and comply with all other regulations governing their work.
- Flexibility to travel to US and Europe
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s level 8 degree (240 credits), in a scientific or engineering discipline (STEM) preferably Mechanical or Biomedical.
- Minimum 4 years experience preferably in R&D.
- Experience in DV testing, test method validations, spec setting and print package would be preferable.
- Available for international travel when required.
