About the role:
Financial Analysts play a key role in managing financial results within Boston Scientific's Cardiology Group, a growing $8B+ global business. The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting the planning, analysis, and execution of marketing, medical education, and general administration business plans that support the pan-Cardiology business unit structure. This position requires an outgoing candidate who can independently form strong relationships with business partners and franchise finance leaders in order to optimize financial planning, reporting, and analysis. The ideal candidate will be career driven and have strong leadership, analytical, and technical skills.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Partner independently with business partners, Division finance leaders, and corporate counterparts
- Prepare and distribute financial metric packages by gathering and analyzing information related to drivers of current performance
- Develop robust processes to facilitate timely and accurate completion of financial forecasts and management reviews
- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and recommend alternative courses of action by utilizing appropriate financial tools and creative problem solving
- Present to upper management & business partners and provide guidance on variances and trends
- Assist in month end close as needed to ensure proper accounting at the functional and departmental level, as needed
- Develop and utilize sound financial processes and maintain effective control environment
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 3+ years of progressive experience in a similar role
- Excellent technical skills (modeling, macros, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Hyperion)
- Strong financial analysis, communication, organizational, and prioritization skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment, adhere to tight deadlines with attention to detail
- Must have highly developed customer relationship skills with strong service orientation
- Ability to hold self-accountable to a performance metric culture building performance excellence
- Team oriented
Preferred qualifications:
- MBA or CPA
- Excellent technical skills (SAP and VBA)
