About the role:
Responsible for developing the end-to-end planning, development, and ownership of the strategy around Professional and Medical Education of Care Teams, Bariatric Surgery and Advanced Therapeutic GI Fellows in the field of Endobariatrics. Collaborates with Marketing Management, Chief Medical Officer, MDM team, FSO, Professional Education Team and many other stakeholders to create multi-faceted procedural training plans and/or content options, rooted in adult education principles. Collaborates globally to leverage best practices, share content and drive efficiency. Conducts landscape assessments, plans strategy for multiple strategic programs and integrates thoroughly into the day to day of education group targets. Ensures that the objectives for learning and adoption are met, and that Care Teams and Fellows feel fully supported by Boston Scientific in their Endobariatric Care, Programmatic and Procedural learning journeys.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Owner of Endobariatric Fellows (GI & Surgeon) education and Care Team (Bariatric office staff, NPs, PAs, Dietitians) Education Strategy, Projects and Courses: including market landscape, needs assessment, close alignment to GI Fellows Manager on overall Fellowship approach, program structure, awareness education vs. training to adoption, best practice sharing and curriculum
  • GI and Bariatric Fellows: Establishes self as the expert in the Academic Fellowship landscape and partners with commercial teams and society leaders to support educational needs
  • Clinical Care Team: Acts as course leader with collaboration on curriculum development, learner criteria, post-course support in partnership with EBAR positions, course emcee, etc.
  • Close alignment with DMCxp on DTP workstreams to integrate content into courses
  • Collaborates with curriculum design team on the end to end development of HCP training strategies and content mix for a specified group of existing and new technologies
  • Embeds the HCP education training strategy into the NPCE process for all new product launches and/or BD deals
  • Participates in all Functional Leadership Team (FLT) meetings and other relevant activities related to a portfolio of products
  • Works with the FSO, Market Development Team (MDM), Product/Channel management, Sales Training and KOL’s (Key Opinion Leaders) to ensure appropriate clinical approach, scientific detail and application.
  • Spends time in the field, visiting fellowship sites, in cases and at 3rd party courses to stay up to date on procedural education landscape
  • Understands critical issues impacting the procedural adoption and implements optimal solutions
  • Supports field execution and assesses impact of procedural training programs through active presence in the field. Develops creative approaches to tackle any hurdles.
  • Identifies and develops relationships with key procedural experts in the field, in conjunction with Market Development Team
  • Shares and connects with global counterparts to collaborate on HCP education strategy
  • Tracks/reports on procedural education performance, analysis and action plan development
  • Leverages appropriate tools, technology, IT solutions, EDUCARE to formulate a learning journey or educational plan
  • Collaborates seamlessly with EDUCARE COE, Sales Training, Marketing, MDM and Integrated Marketing Communications on content creation, brand standards and design
  • Demonstrates effective change leadership and adaptability in planning.

Required qualifications:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business discipline or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 7 years sales and/or marketing experience with 2 years in healthcare/medical device industry (Apollo Endosurgery, BSC Endoscopy or Bariatric Procedural experience strongly preferred)
  • Ability to travel 75% of the time
