Job Title: Selenium Automation Test Engiuneer- Bangalore

Key skills: Selenium, Web, API, Mobile Testing

Role Description

This role involves hands-on work with micro-frontends and micro app architecture, where you will leverage your expertise in ReactJS, TypeScript, and Next.js. This role will be instrumental in designing modular solutions using Webpack’s Module Federation, enabling dynamic injection of micro-frontends at runtime into parent applications, as well as build time packages.

This role requires effective coordination with vendors, technicians, clients, and management to ensure robust performance and resource management. performing detailed analysis of various projects and requests; developing designs for projects that have medium to high complexity; formulating procedures; monitoring key performance indicators; and implementing advanced business solutions. It may also integrate systems or operate in a DevOps model depending on the maturity of the organization and/or product

Responsibilities • Designs the overall testing plan for projects and leads sophisticated defect detection, problem solving and troubleshooting related to project development. • Performs in a lead capacity role within the team in making decisions related to quality. • Designs and develops test automation scripts at scale. • Research issues in software through testing and Develops test automation frameworks for Web, Mobile & API. • Investigates and implements new tools and methods. • Maintains and extends existing build tools. • Defines test strategy/test approach at project level. • Contributes to code reviews, with special emphasis on testability and Introduces/suggests new processes and techniques. • Identifies opportunities for automation within software processes. • Designs and executes QA tests using scripts that automatically test functionality. • Designs test cases to exercise new product features. Validate that requirements and bug fixes meet acceptance criteria. • Automates new and existing test cases for Web, Mobile & API. • Implements test strategy/test plan. • Implements contentious testing using build tools like Jenkins. • Identifies bugs and quality issues in development, service, or business processes • Installs applications including build and testing tools • Collaborates with other business units to understand how automation can improve workflow. • Gathers requirements from clients, customers, or end-users to develop the best test automation solutions. • Influences team to better Identify any new features that are testable. • Understands testing across multiple concurrent work streams. • Contributes to best practices and standards put in place by the Testing Center of Excellence (TCOE). • Understands dependency between teams. • Collaborates with the project teams to develop solutions. • Collaborates with quality engineering on testing approach, strategy, and guidelines. • Understands and implements quality compliance and governance. • Planning & Organizing • Follows best practices and standards put in place by the Testing Center of Excellence (TCOE) & Participates in Agile planning activities. • Engages TCOE to update standard playbooks

Must Have Skills • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or a technology related field or High School Diploma or GED and 7 years Progressive Relevant experience • ISTQB: Certified Tester Test Automation Engineer (CT-TAE) preferred • 7 years of overall technology experience • 6+ years in test automation engineering • 4 years of web, API and/or mobile experience • 4 years of Selenium (or similar robust toolkit) testing experience • 3 years of hands-on experience in quality assurance work with web-based applications • 3 years of experience testing web/eCommerce applications constructed using modern web frameworks such as React, node, typescript, and related technologies

Good to Have Skills • AWS Developer Certification preferred
