ROLE OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support a major payments transformation program, migrating from legacy applications to a new target-state ecosystem. The BA will play a critical role in requirements gathering, process mapping, and gap identification across payments and liquidity management domains.
Key Responsibilities
- Elicit, document, and validate business and functional requirements for payments and liquidity processes.
- Conduct As-Is / To-Be analysis, mapping process flows and defining future-state operating models.
- Identify gaps in new payments systems and drive resolution strategies.
- Collaborate with business, technology, and operations teams to ensure end-to-end process alignment.
- Define message mappings for SEPA, TARGET2, EURO1, SWIFT, and ISO 20022 standards.
- Support testing phases (UAT, SIT) through clear acceptance criteria and traceability.
- Contribute to migration readiness and cutover planning.
Required Skills & Experience
- 6–8+ years as a Business Analyst, with at least 2–3 years in payments.
- Strong expertise in:
- SEPA payments schemes
- ISO 20022 messaging
- SWIFT formats, TARGET2, EURO1
- Experience with liquidity management and cash pooling.
- Proven track record in large-scale transformation/migration projects.
- Skilled in process modeling, requirements engineering, and gap analysis.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience in treasury systems and cash concentration solutions.
- Background in multi-system migrations within banking.
- German language skills and/or prior client-facing experience in Düsseldorf.
