THE BIG PICTURE
We are seeking an experienced MXML Murex Consultant to join our Murex delivery team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical and functional expertise in Murex environments, with a focus on MXML workflow design, integration, and configuration. You will be responsible for implementing and optimizing end-to-end Murex processes, ensuring seamless integration between front office, risk, and back-office systems.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE MAGIC HAPPEN

Design, configure, and maintain MXML workflows within the Murex platform.

Collaborate with business analysts and functional teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.

Develop and optimize interfaces between Murex and external systems (e.g., market data feeds, risk systems, settlement platforms).

Perform technical analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution of Murex-related incidents.

Participate in system upgrades, patch testing, and performance tuning.

Support UAT and production environments, ensuring system stability and data integrity.

Contribute to CI/CD and automation initiatives related to Murex configuration management.

Provide documentation and training to support internal teams.
WHAT MAKES YOU AWESOME
-
3–8 years of hands-on experience with the Murex platform (preferably versions 3.1 or later).

Strong proficiency in MXML workflow design, validation, and debugging.

Solid understanding of trade lifecycle management across asset classes (FX, Rates, Credit, Derivatives, etc.).

Experience with integration technologies (e.g., MQ, XML, APIs, Databridge, Java).

Familiarity with Datamart, Market Data, Simulation Views, and Workflow Orchestration.

Strong skills in SQL, Unix/Linux scripting, and scripting languages (e.g., Python or Shell).

Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Prior experience in Murex implementation or upgrade projects.

Exposure to DevOps practices and version control systems (e.g., Git, Jenkins).

Understanding of financial products and risk management concepts.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or related field.
