THE BIG PICTURE
We are seeking an experienced Murex MLC Consultant to join our Murex team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, configuring, and optimizing Murex Limit Controller (MLC) functionality to support credit risk management, limit monitoring, and real-time exposure tracking. This role combines strong Murex technical expertise with a solid understanding of risk frameworks and limit control processes within a trading environment.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE MAGIC HAPPEN

Design, implement, and maintain MLC (Murex Limit Controller) configurations for limit management and exposure control.

Work closely with Front Office, Risk, and Credit teams to define business requirements and translate them into Murex solutions.

Set up and validate pre-deal checks, post-trade limit monitoring, and exposure aggregation.

Integrate MLC with Murex workflows, Market Data, and Risk Engines to ensure consistent exposure data across systems.

Participate in UAT, regression testing, and production support related to MLC functionality.

Troubleshoot and resolve MLC performance and configuration issues.

Optimize limit management processes through automation and workflow enhancements.

Collaborate with other Murex modules (Front Office, Risk, Back Office, MxML Exchange, Datamart) to ensure end-to-end integration.
WHAT MAKES YOU AWESOME

3–8 years of experience working with Murex 3.1 or later, with a focus on MLC (Limit Controller).

In-depth understanding of credit risk exposure, limit monitoring, and risk control concepts.

Strong experience in MLC configuration, Limit Structures, and Pre-Trade / Post-Trade Checks.

Proficiency with MXML workflows, Market Data setup, and Data Dictionaries.

Experience with SQL, Unix/Linux scripting, and performance optimization.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Exposure to Front Office pricing, risk, and P&L modules.

Experience in Murex implementation, migration, or upgrade projects.

Understanding of counterparty credit risk frameworks (CVA, PFE, limits, collateral).

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
