About the Job:

As a Managing Principal – PMO & Data Transformation, you will lead large-scale, enterprise transformation programs for financial services clients, with a primary focus on data initiatives and modernization efforts.

This is a senior leadership role responsible for establishing and running program governance, driving execution across complex portfolios, and serving as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders. You will operate at the center of business, technology, and delivery—ensuring alignment, transparency, and successful outcomes across all initiatives.

You will partner closely with client executives, including VP and senior leadership levels, to proactively manage risks, resolve issues, and provide clear, actionable insight into program health and performance.

What You’ll Get to Do:

PMO Leadership & Program Oversight

  • Lead and oversee enterprise PMO functions across large-scale transformation programs, with a strong emphasis on data initiatives.
  • Establish governance frameworks, reporting structures, and operating rhythms to ensure consistency, accountability, and transparency.
  • Drive program execution across multiple workstreams, ensuring alignment to strategic objectives and delivery milestones.
  • Implement best practices in program management, including risk management, dependency tracking, and issue resolution.

Executive Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as a primary interface to senior client stakeholders, including VP-level leaders and their direct reports.
  • Clearly articulate program status, risks, and key decisions in a concise and business-focused manner.
  • Facilitate executive-level discussions to resolve blockers, align priorities, and drive decision-making.
  • Build strong relationships across business and technology teams, with the ability to influence without authority.

Data Transformation Delivery

  • Lead delivery of complex data transformation programs, including data modernization, governance, and platform initiatives.
  • Ensure alignment between business objectives and data strategy execution.
  • Coordinate across cross-functional teams (data, technology, business) to drive successful outcomes.
  • Support the phased introduction of advanced capabilities, including AI, as part of broader data transformation efforts.

Risk & Issue Management

  • Proactively identify, manage, and communicate risks and issues across the program lifecycle.
  • Develop mitigation strategies and drive accountability for resolution.
  • Maintain a clear and forward-looking view of program health, dependencies, and potential impacts.

What You’ll Bring with You:

  • 10+ years of experience leading large-scale transformation programs within financial services.
  • Strong background in PMO leadership and enterprise program governance across complex initiatives.
  • Proven experience delivering data transformation programs (data platforms, governance, modernization).
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior executive stakeholders, including VP-level and above.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate risks, issues, and program status to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and navigating complex organizational structures.
  • Track record of driving programs from initiation through execution with measurable business outcomes.
  • Experience in consulting environments and supporting business development efforts.
  • Familiarity with AI and emerging technologies as part of broader transformation programs (not required to be deeply technical).
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Willingness to work in the Northern VA office 5 days/week.
