The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a strategic partner to Capco Canada Managing Partner and translates business priorities into executable operational plans. The role combines strategy, operations, people and culture, finance and executive coordination to ensure the firm's priorities are executed effectively.
Chief Operating Officer will help align practice leaders, sales leadership, and operations to assist in driving revenue growth, client delivery excellence, and operational efficiency. This is a high-impact leadership role requiring strong business judgment, analytical ability, and the ability to manage complex cross-functional initiatives.
What You’ll Do
1. Strategic Execution
- In partnership with the Canada Managing Partner, translate business priorities into executable operational plans and ensuring alignment across the leadership team.
- Track and manage progress against the firm's strategic priorities and growth targets.
- Lead preparation for global business reviews and Canada strategy reviews, ensuring pre-reviews and alignment with geo ops and functional owners.
- Coordinate and support strategic projects such as: Market expansion. Practice development, M&A integration, new service offerings, Ensure alignment between firm strategy, practice strategy, and revenue goals.
2. Financial Performance Steering & Management
- Develop a strong understanding of the Canada P&L, including key revenue drivers, cost structure, and margin performance.
- Act as a financial partner to the Canada Managing Partner and leadership team, providing insights on business performance.
- Drive initiatives to improve revenue growth, margins, and overall financial performance.
- Partner with Finance on identifying risks and opportunities impacting profitability across utilization, pricing, delivery efficiency as well as managing costs forecasting, budgeting, and performance tracking.
- Translate financial insights into clear, actionable recommendations for business leaders.
- Apply a strong financial lens to support decision-making and balance growth with sustainable profitability.
3. Operational Excellence
- Improve internal operating cadence, and management processes.
- Lead business performance management, including establishing KPIs, monitoring financial and operational metrics, and driving accountability across practice leaders.
- Drive firm-wide operational excellence, including resource management, and utilization optimization to improve profitability and client outcomes.
- Partner with Finance to manage forecasting, revenue planning, and margin improvement initiatives, ensuring operational decisions align with financial goals.
- Identify and coordinate the implementation of process improvements, tools, and operating models that enhance efficiency, collaboration, and scalability across the organization.
- Cultural and operational leader, reinforces accountability, execution discipline, and a high-performance consulting mindset across the firm
4. Business Development Enablement
- Support the leadership team in driving revenue growth and client development.
- Identify opportunities for cross-practice collaboration.
- Enable growth by supporting business development efforts, including pipeline visibility, bid governance, and ensuring delivery readiness for new engagements.
- Enforce adherence to deal review process across a deal’s lifecycle to ensure appropriate business and risk management and facilitate collaboration of key parties to maximize win potential.
5. Executive Leadership Integrator
- A leader who is a culture builder that brings drive, passion and energy to our business
- Act as an integrator for the leadership team, coordinating priorities, tracking key initiatives, and ensuring follow-through on strategic decisions.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and sounding board to the Canada Managing Partner.
- Prepare briefing materials, strategy papers, and decision frameworks.
- Coordinate leadership team meetings, retreats, and strategic planning sessions.
- Ensure decisions are documented, communicated, and executed.
- Coordinate and support cross-firm initiatives such as: Practice financial and operational improvement, Pricing strategy, Talent strategy and workforce planning, Technology and AI initiatives, and Operational transformation
6. Communication, Alignment & Events
- Improve communication between leadership, practices, and corporate functions.
- Prepare internal communications on firm strategy and performance.
- Support culture initiatives and leadership alignment.
- Set agenda for and produce Town Hall and All Hands meeting packs
- Plan and manage executive visits and workshops, including content collation, runbooks, event logistics and cross-functional alignment with MarComms, EAs and the Managing Partner office.
- Own and develop materials for the Leadership team meetings for different audience levels, adjusting formatting and MIS inputs to meet changing business needs.
7. Governance
- Facilitate executive and leadership governance forums (e.g., leadership meetings, quarterly business reviews), ensuring clear decision-making and communication flow.
- Prepare and coordinate pre-work for global business reviews and lead timely deck production.
- Act as the escalation point for resource management and cross-region/global staffing, owning bench visibility and weekly resource management touchpoints.
- Create and manage governance packs, dashboards and slides for the leadership and external stakeholders.
- Own follow up on partner scorecard and reporting issues, working with global teams to resolve calculation and data problems.
Who You’ll Work With
This role reports to the Managing Partner for Canada and leads the Resourcing and FinOps teams with 2 direct reports and a total team size of 5.
This role works in tight collaboration with CFO, People and Culture and Marketing leads & Geo Domain and Capability leaders, EA team, global sales enablement and occasionally Wipro contacts.
What We're Looking For
- 10-15+ years of work experience in management consulting, business strategy, corporate development, or professional services
- Minimum 5 years of experience working at a consulting firm
- Minimum 5 years of experience leading people
- Prior experience supporting senior executives or partners.
- Strong strategic thinking and complex problem solving skills
- Exceptional communication and executive presence
- Proven ability to influence senior leaders
- Advanced financial and operational analytics
- Ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives

Pay Transparency
The salary range for this position is $200,000+. Additionally, this position may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary/variable bonus payment.
