Job Role
Senior Consultant – Data Risk & Privacy
Location: Bangalore, Chennai
Experience: 8–14 Years
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Consultant to support delivery of data risk and privacy initiatives, helping clients manage data-related risks and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal policy requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and interpret data risk policies, standards, and regulatory requirements
- Assess applicability and impact of policies across business processes and data flows
- Conduct risk assessments, gap analysis, and impact assessments
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) of data risks and issues
- Develop and implement risk treatment and remediation plans
- Design and maintain data risk controls, monitoring frameworks, and KCIs
- Conduct control testing and track remediation of identified issues
- Support risk and control assessments (e.g., RCSA) and regulatory/audit engagements
- Lead or support privacy impact assessments and data protection initiatives
- Maintain risk registers, issue logs, and tracking mechanisms
- Coordinate with stakeholders across business, risk, compliance, and audit
Required Skills & Experience
- 8–14 years in Data Risk, Privacy, or Operational Risk
- Strong understanding of data regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
- Experience in risk assessments, controls, and remediation programs
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in financial services or regulated industries preferred
Desired Qualifications & Certifications
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in relevant field
- Certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, CRISC, FRM
- Knowledge of data risk frameworks and control environments
