This position is in Cargill’s food and bioindustrial business, where manufacturers, retailers, and foodservice companies rely on us to consistently deliver the products and services they need, and use our technical expertise and market knowledge to develop innovative products.


Job Purpose and Impact

The Senior Account Manager (Open to Remote) will focus on several of the company's complex customers within the food manufacturing market. In this role, you will be tasked with bringing together the full portfolio of Cargill solutions to meet the evolving need of customers in the dynamic food manufacturing space. You will be the key connecter of resources to support customer growth initiatives and meet company growth targets.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and maintain strategic account relationships in support of food manufacturing business goals and personal sales targets.
  • Lead development of account plans utilizing cross functional teams for support
  • Leverage the full portfolio of Cargill ingredients and solutions to help customers solve their toughest problems.
  • Amplify the voice of customer within the organization to inform product, price, and service strategies.
  • Develop a robust sales pipeline utilizing market insights and multi-functional customer engagement to uncover opportunities.
  • Utilize CRM and business intelligence tools to communicate within the organization and monitor account health.
  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of four years of related work experience in sales, business development or related field.
  • Strong track record of navigating ambiguity and managing projects in matrix organizations.
  • Able and willing to travel up to 50%.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven selling experience in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to navigate technically focused conversations.
  • Strong communication skills, executive presence, and ability to build relationships with various levels in a matrixed customer organization.

Applicant Information

The expected salary for this position is $90,000 to 130,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.
