Role Description:
This position reports into Cigna's Clinical Performance and Quality (CP&Q) organization (which provides clinical leadership to promote evidence-based, effective, and efficient care) and collaborates across the Cigna/Evernorth enterprise. Incumbent will play a key role in driving strategy, execution and results for clinical operations and affordability in the Individual and Family Plan (IFP) business segment. The incumbent will manage multiple initiatives that drive quality, affordability and satisfaction for our IFP customers with a focus on promoting health equity and addressing social determinants of health within the population. The successful incumbent will optimize value, maximize operating effectiveness, and enable a high-performance culture.
Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:
Develop subject matter expertise related to aligned program(s) and understanding of internal/external landscape, strategy and business objectives
Gather, analyze and synthesize key insights/research (e.g., data, industry, market, key stakeholder, operational)
Provide counsel and advice to top management on strategy and multi-year roadmap development; set SMART objectives
Support the enterprise portfolio submission/funding process

Management Process:
Utilize established program and project management methodologies and best practices for effective governance, meeting preparation and management, execution, and monitoring results
Establish, support and iterate on meeting cadences, and communication strategy to align with and inform key stakeholders
Manage intake and prioritization of actions to support program goals
Ensure that program-level success metrics/KPIs/scorecards are established and measured
Create, enhance and maintain playbooks and repeatable framework(s)
Ensure creation of and maintenance of Sharepoint(s) /information management

Execution:
Collaborate with matrix partners in the design and development of new solutions, enhancements, and process improvements; go-to person for the clinical program management assignments
Effectively plan, prepare for, and facilitate meetings IFP Clinical Program meetings, and develop a process to prepare senior staff for larger strategy and status meetings.
Develop/utilize best practice standard project artifacts including charter, team/roles and responsibilities, high level timeline/schedule, issues and risk log, and a master project plan to support milestones and goals
Manage project plans, track milestones, and monitor execution
Effectively communicate with project/business participants and stakeholders by adapting style and messages to diverse audiences
Manage/escalate and resolve/mitigate issues and risks; Solves complex problems; takes a broad perspective to identify solutions
Facilitate effective decision making
Ensure timely, quality, collaborative execution and effective project documentation
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred; Master’s degree in business or relevant field ideal
1+ year of experience working in Medicare, government, and/or exchange specific healthcare required.

5-7 years+ of program management/project management and/or applicable business experience, with knowledge of industry best practices:
Health equity and social determinants of health
Project management training/certification a plus.
Demonstrated passion for health equity and addressing social determinants of health
Demonstrated ability to drive results and produce quality deliverables
Strong strategic/critical thinking, analytical, and problem solving skills
Demonstrates ability to operate with an enterprise mindset
Action oriented and works with a sense of urgency, acting with speed and purpose

High proficiency with MS Office- Powerpoint, Excel, Word, Project; demonstrated ability to prepare effective Powerpoint presentations
Travel potential – 10%
