The Central Business Analyst supports the Clinical Account Executive in delivering clinical products and services to clients. Under general supervision, this role performs key functions including clinical data analysis, trend evaluation, and project management participation. The position is designed to build competencies in clinical strategy planning, development, consultation, presentation, implementation, and ongoing management of clinical programs and services.

Essential Functions

  • Assist with assigned business division projects, such as identifying medication utilization and plan design trends, and applying findings to client-specific clinical strategies within the scope of utilization management initiatives.

  • Support formulary modeling and plan design analysis, contributing to the development of clinical strategies and business plans for both existing and prospective clients.

  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of the operational and clinical Life of a Claim, including key touchpoints that impact utilization management, formulary adherence, and patient outcomes.

  • Collaborate with clinical staff to fulfill client reporting and data analysis needs in alignment with business division goals and objectives.

  • Partner with Sales/Marketing, Clinical, and other internal departments to support the execution of business division initiatives.

  • Participate in formal and informal training programs and professional development activities to enhance clinical and analytical skill sets.

  • Actively contribute to staff meetings, committees, and departmental workgroups to support team collaboration and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.

  • 3+ years of PBM (Pharmacy Benefit Management) experience preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.

  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to support clinical reporting and trend analysis.

  • Understanding of healthcare industry regulations (e.g., HIPAA, CMS guidelines) and their impact on clinical programs.

  • Experience working with SQL or other data query languages to extract and analyze large datasets.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate current workflows and identify solutions.

  • Motivated self-starter with demonstrated leadership and ability to work collaboratively across teams.

  • Ability to manage workload independently, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Adaptable in a dynamic work environment; quick learner with problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 76,400 - 127,400 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
