The Career and Performance Enablement Director is responsible for the strategy and infrastructure for career growth and mobility, aligned to future business needs. This leader will design, implement, and continuously evolve strategies and systems that accelerate skill development, enable career growth, and elevate employee performance. This role will lead the integration of career and performance management, workforce planning, and internal mobility strategies that prepare a future-ready workforce.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, develop, and lead the implementation of an enterprise career development strategy, inclusive of talent mobility, skills enablement, and performance management, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Establish a holistic strategy for career growth and upskilling/reskilling, ensuring tools like career maps and internal mobility platforms are purpose-built to enable that strategy.
  • Analyze current and future workforce needs; proactively identify skill gaps and align development initiatives with clearly defined career paths.
  • Enable large-scale deployment of talent (e.g., identification, movement, and development) through systems and processes.
  • Innovate and transform career programs by pioneering automation and AI-driven tools and technologies.
  • Inform decisions about future technologies to ensure alignment with industry best practices.
  • Manage vendor relationships effectively.
  • Provide expert consulting to the HR community to ensure processes and systems meet the needs of our diverse population and align with the company's strategic direction and enterprise talent strategy.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting frameworks to track key metrics across workforce planning, career growth, and performance.
  • Partner with key stakeholders, including Learning & Development, HR IT & Ops, Inclusion, HR Analytics, Talent Acquisition, Talent Leads, and HRBPs.
  • Directly manage a team, role modeling the leadership and career and performance management practices we expect of others

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Masters preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience across key HR domains, including Talent Management / Talent Planning and Talent Strategy.
  • Deep understanding of the employee lifecycle, including career/skill development, performance management, and talent movement.
  • Proven expertise in shaping and executing leading-edge career and performance management strategies, with a focus on skill development and workforce transformation across large, global enterprises.
  • Strong data fluency and experience with strategic workforce planning methodologies and HCM technology solutions, with focus on emerging technologies.
  • Proven track record of change leadership and innovation, including implementation of new technologies, increased automation, and AI-driven digital experiences.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, working cross-functionally and managing multiple priorities and initiatives.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, and demonstrated ability to shift between strategy and execution seamlessly.
  • Demonstrated experience developing effective data and measurement strategies for career management.
  • Proven track record of leading at scale in a centralized model, collaborating with HR Business Partners, across COEs, and with business leaders.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills; proven experience driving adoption across large, complex organizations.
  • Experienced leader with a proven track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace culture.
