The Business Risk and Control Sr Analyst is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and workflow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits. Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.
Responsibilities:
- Governance and execution of the Managers Control Assessment (MCA) as required by the MCA Standard including the assessment and appropriate approval of risk associated with business changes
- Implementation, maintenance and assessment of a complete, accurate and well-designed Control and Monitoring Framework
- Provide support in the identification of issue root cause, partnering with control and process owners to recommendations holistic corrective actions and improvements, provide check and challenge to ensure appropriate escalation in according with Issue Management and Escalation Policies, and support determining and reaching path-to-green for Technology
- Work with the team to identify, assess, escalate, and manage risk exposures across Risk Categories specific to the Markets Technology organization
- Participate in Regulatory Management activities assigned to Markets Technology organization and help maintain a complete and accurate list of regulations applicable to the unit
Qualifications:
- 6-10 years of experience with Risk & Control, Manager Control Assessment (MCA) and/or Technology
- Background in Information Technology Risk Management (such as first line Technology Control Officer) – especially with Manager Control Assessment (MCA) background is a PLUS
- Detail oriented with strong organization and project management skills
- Strong relationship management skills with ability to deepen relationships and build partnerships various stakeholder groups (i.e. Technology, ICRM, IA, IBRC)
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, fluent English
- Self-motivated and detail oriented
Education:
Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience.
