We are looking for a Project Manager (AVP) within Securities Services Operations (SSO) who will contribute to introduction or change of processes and operational work-flows for client driven projects within Fund Accounting business.

This role requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required as much as ability to regularly assume informal/formal leadership role within teams. Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. High professionalism is expected on this role since our clients are international investment institutions of global presence on the markets.

Project Manager provides full leadership and supervisory responsibility. Provides operational/service leadership and direction to team(s). Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge through provision of value-added perspectives or advisory services. May contribute to the development of new techniques, models and plans within area of expertise. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Generally has responsibility for volume, quality, timeliness of end results and shared responsibility for planning and budgets. Work affects an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family. Full supervisory responsibility, ensuring motivation and development of team through professional leadership to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary and terminations as well as direction of daily tasks and responsibilities.
What you will do
- Manages one team, consisting of support staff and/or entry level analysts.
- Ensure creation of project plan, stakeholder management plan, acceptance plan, and central project issue log.
- Identify key stakeholders who will participate in project scope definition.
- Identify, document, and understand project dependencies
- Ensure appropriate resources are assigned to project & monitor commitment.
- Ensure change control is executed throughout project.
- Establish project communication needs and create project communication plan.
- Track actual project costs, identify variances, and reforecast project costs as needed.
- Measure project management performance against standards.
- Create the project risk management plan.
- Work with procurement team to create, administer, track, and eventually close project contracts.
- Make recommendations for training and development needs for assigned personnel.
- Evaluate subordinates' performance and makes recommendations for pay increases, promotions, terminations, and other personnel actions.
- Apply in-depth disciplinary knowledge of concepts and procedures within own area to resolve issues.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
What we'll need from you
- Bank Secrecy Act knowledge.
- Knowledge of Global AML Regulatory Reporting Standard, Global SAR Standard, Global ICRM Regulatory Reporting Guidelines and country-level regulatory reporting requirements across UK, EUROPE AND MEA clusters.
- Knowledge of Citi’s Internal Audit methodologies and ability to drive engagement with all key stakeholders.
- Ability to drive targeted reviews and identify key risk areas for effective AML Reporting Risk mitigation.
- Excellent knowledge of regulatory reporting processes and requirements.
- To drive Strategic Programs Implementation and provide oversight; candidate should have demonstrated experience in Change Management, Strategic Business Analysis and Process Reengineering. Deep knowledge of Citi’s AML related systems and tools to effectively influence the process enhancements.
- Be able to work with stakeholders from Business/Ops, AML Compliance Risk Management, ICRM, Technology and country-level stakeholders to drive changes.
- Practice Global Standards for AML Regulatory Reporting, measure performance on a periodic basis and highlight any risk areas with key stakeholders.
- Solid leadership skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders with integrity and ethics.
- Interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment collaborating across diverse groups.
- Experience in creating and implementing processes across AML/BSA & Business/Ops related groups.
- Strong mentor, tutor, coach for Country Regulatory Reporting contacts.
- Ability to motivate staff, improve newly developed processes and identify opportunities for further improvements to achieve efficiency, productivity, and quality control.
- Strong research, analytical, problem-solving and risk management skills.
