The Architecture App Support Analyst is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.
Responsibilities:
- Develops technology road maps, while keeping up to date with emerging technologies, and recommends business directions based on these technologies.
- Translates complex business problems into sound technical solutions.
- Provides integrated systems planning and recommends innovative technologies that will enhance the current system.
- Exhibits good knowledge of how own specialism contributes to the business and good understanding of competitors products and services.
- Impacts the architecture function by influencing decisions through advice, counsel or facilitating services.
- Identifies ways to maximize the potential of the applications used
- Assess risk and impact of production issues and escalate to business and technology management in a timely manner.
- Guides, influences and persuades others with developed communication and diplomacy skills.
- Participate in application releases, from development, testing and deployment into production.
- Engages in post implementation analysis to ensure successful system design and functionality.
- Considers implications of the application of technology to the current environment. Identifies risks, vulnerabilities and security issues; communicates impact.
- Ensures essential procedures are followed and helps to define operating standards and processes.
- Act as a liaison between users/traders, interfacing internal technology groups and vendors.
- Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

- 5-8 years relevant experience

Role Overview:
This hybrid role focuses on supporting both business architecture and architecture governance functions, with a strategic emphasis on technical documentation and data organization. The ideal candidate will collaborate with various stakeholders to develop process models, create roadmaps, and ensure alignment with established governance frameworks. This role will support the USPB Operations Technology architecture team, focusing on core operations businesses, fraud and loss prevention, and common platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy and Technical Documentation (50%):
o Contribute to strategic initiatives aimed at improving organizational structure and data quality.
o Create and maintain detailed technical documentation to support governance and business architecture efforts.
o Partner with stakeholders to ensure a forward-thinking and organized approach to architecture.
- Architecture Governance (30%):
o Support and uphold the governance framework, including the Architecture Review Board (ARB) and architecture principles.
o Provide guidance and advisory support to ensure compliance with governance standards.
o Facilitate reviews and maintain documentation related to governance practice
- Business Architecture (20%):
o Develop and refine process models and strategic roadmaps for core operations businesses.
o Collaborate with business clients to align architecture initiatives with organizational goals.
o Analyze and document business functions and capabilities, ensuring alignment with overall enterprise architecture.
Expected Qualifications:
- TOGAF certification
- Cloud certification (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Experience in United States financial industry.
- Experience with consumer banking operations-related applications or platforms.
- Proficiency in developing process models, roadmaps, and strategic architecture deliverables.
- Familiarity with business capability models and architecture governance frameworks / tools.
Education:
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
