The Apps Support Senior Manager accomplishes results through the management of professional team(s) and department(s). Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Contributes to standards around which others will operate. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function. Requires basic commercial awareness. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Has responsibility for volume, quality, timeliness and delivery of end results of an area. May have responsibility for planning, budgeting and policy formulation within area of expertise. Involved in short-term planning resource planning. Full management responsibility of a team, which may include management of people, budget and planning, to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary and terminations and may include budget approval.
Key Responsibilities
Configure and maintain applications and support orchestration for high availability and scalability.
Automate repetitive tasks with scripting for legacy platforms.
Optimise resource utilization and reduce costs while maintaining high performance and, up time.
Establish best practices for managing vulnerability scanning, compliance checks and secure configurations.
Implement Citi standard tools for Observability and monitoring applications.
Design, Implement and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to enable efficient build, test and deployment processes.
Ensure adherence to organizational change management process, incident handling and SLA commitments.
Participate in release planning, production rollouts and weekend support rotation
Challenge the status quo and suggest innovative ideas in terms of implementation and technology if any
Comply with Citi SDLC standards
Interacting with other teams and individuals who are stakeholder in the application
Assist production support teams based on the need
Code review, test case reviews ensuring code developed meets the quality requirements
Knowledge/Experience
Good hands-on experience in the following:
14-15 years relevant experience as App Support analyst handling an application/ platform end to end.
Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, uDeploy, TeamCity, BiutBucket or similar.
Core Java
Spring Framework
Knowledge in WebSphere / Tomcat (At least 1 is must)
Knowledge of TIBCO/ MQ ( Good to have)
Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and communication skills

Oracle (SQL & PL/SQL) (Must)

Experience with Linux Batch Scripting

Good understanding of Agile methodologies & SDLC
Good Communication
Strong analytical skills
Good to have Banking Domain Experience
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (in science, computers, information technology or engineering)
