Infrastructure Senior Tech Analyst - Assistant Vice President

The Infrastructure Senior Technology Analyst is an intermediate level role responsible for assisting with LAN / WAN and help desk administration activities, including network maintenance, technical guidance, and security in coordination with the Technology Infrastructure team. The overall objective is to use infrastructure technology knowledge and identified policies to process data, resolve issues and execute administrative tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Create complex project plans, perform impact analyses solve/work high impact problems/projects, and provide resolutions to restore services
- Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) post restoration of service
- Design testing approaches, complex processes, reporting streams, and create automation of repetitive tasks
- Review requirement documents, define hardware requirements and examine and update processes and procedures as necessary
- Provide technical/strategic direction and act as advisor/coach to lower-level analysts
- Develop projects required for design of metrics, analytical tools, benchmarking activities and best practices
- Provide expertise in application hosting technologies with specialized emphasis on IBM technologies i.e.WebSphere/WebLogic Application Server, WebLogic Forms and Reports, IHS
- Provide expertise in other web hosting technologies like Microsoft IIS, Apache, Tomcat
- Provide expertise in Java/J2EE deployments and Operating system scripting.
- Analyze and Automate resolution from routine issues to critical failures within established service level targets
- Support technology improvements such as new infrastructure install and hardware/software upgrade and engineering support
- Analyze customer requirements to ensure all standards, policies and guidelines are upheld from the information security
perspective and support routine compliance activities - Provide L3 oversight and direction for Audit, Risk and Compliance matters.
- Disaster recovery planning and documentation. Accompany modernization of J2EE applications to containers.
- Supports cloud first strategy; Assists Security Incident Response Teams in the investigation of incidents and the training of key
staff - Ability to analyze Information Security Procedures and help implement the same across all of IT and Business;
- Thorough understanding of industry and corporate technology standards for Information Security; Strong judgment and
decision-making skills
Qualifications:
- Skilled software professional with at least 6+ years’ experience in I.T and at least 5+ years hands-on experience on
- middleware webhosting and application server products in a large organization preferably banking environment.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in IT security compliance and implementation and use of security protocols (SSL, Server certificates etc.)
- Good experience using Java, J2EE, XML, SQL and Shell/Perl/python/PowerShell Scripting in UNIX/Wintel environment.
- Experience in modernization of traditional web/app applications to Redhat Openshift containers & external Cloud
- Reasonable experience with AI tools to automate the current pain points in workflow.
- Familiarity of Compliance and risk management frameworks and methodologies (ISO27002, SDLC).
- Success attributes include initiative, the ability to perform under pressure, strong leadership, interpersonal and communication
skills as well as analytical problem-solving abilities - Willing to work in extended hours during the project critical phase
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with internal customers and team members
- Effective analytic/diagnostic skills
Education:
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
