Citibank, N.A. seeks a Business Analytics Lead Analyst for its New Castle, DE location.
DUTIES: Create strategies and rules to detect anomalous trends across all lines of business utilizing statistical and advanced data science techniques. Develop core analytical capabilities utilizing SAS, SQL and Big Data tools including Python and R. Analyze customer and transactional data to identify evolving patterns of fraud and enhance fraud detection strategies through analysis and refinement. Assess results of data analysis using statistical tools and build decision trees to formulate rules for triggering fraud alerts. Create forecasts on the effects of different solutions or new processes on fraud detection, customer impact rates, operational capacity planning and loss recovery. Develop tactical and strategic Management Information System (MIS) dashboards using tools including Tableau with high visibility for key stakeholders. Drive the end-to-end testing approach including test case documentation, reviewing and monitoring rule performance, fine-tuning rules, and implementing strategy. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Business Analytics, Computer Engineering, Data Analytics/Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field, and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related IT occupation performing data analysis activities. Five (5) years of experience must include: Utilizing analytical, statistical, and programming skills including SAS/SQL programming to collect, analyze, and interpret large transaction data; Generating monthly and quarterly reports to track data and provide actionable insights to stakeholders and management teams using Excel and Tableau; Using quantitative and analytic skills to derive patterns, trends, and insights, and perform risk and reward trade-off analysis using data mining techniques; Providing actionable insights to senior global stakeholders by leveraging data analysis and reporting; Using UNIX-Bash Scripts for navigating directories, creating folders, sharing files within teams and setting up environments using command lines; Applying statistical techniques including regression analysis and classification models using tools including Python to solve business problems.
