The Governance Tableau and AI Automation Dev Tech Lead and PPMP SME is a senior level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised BI dashboards and automation in coordination with the Technology team and with the support of the AI. This particular role will roll-up to the Core Accounts Technology Governance team and is expected to lead the development of interactive and multi-source dashboards in Tableau. The role is also expected to have an existing deep knowledge about the PPMP and demonstrable Prompt Engineering skills to be able to operate the change through the AI.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and deploy robust, interactive Tableau dashboards that integrate data from multiple sources into a fast, reliable, and consistent user experience.
- Own the Tableau platform roadmap, defining the data visualization strategy and aligning development priorities with business goals and stakeholder requirements.
- Lead end-to-end project and program management for platform initiatives, coordinating timelines, resources, risks, and dependencies across cross-functional teams.
- Establish and enforce platform governance standards, including development best practices, data source certification, and publishing workflows on Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud.
- Review and evaluate proposed technical solutions, providing oversight across applications and data systems to ensure alignment with quality and governance standards.
- Track and report on delivery progress and resolve day-to-day operational issues to keep platform initiatives moving at pace.
- Engage senior stakeholders as the primary point of contact, translating complex technical and program updates into clear business outcomes and managing expectations effectively.
- Monitor platform health, usage, and adoption, and train users to build a data-driven culture supported by reliable, governed reporting.
- Lead the Core Accounts, LMS and Cluster Technology Book Of Work Compliance ensuring quality through the development of AI solutions to assist the Project Managers.
Recommended Qualifications and Skills:
6–10 years of experience in the financial services industry, spanning both technical delivery and project or program management.
- Hands-on expertise with Tableau, including dashboard development, data modelling, workbook performance optimization, and Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud administration. A Tableau certification (e.g. Tableau Desktop Foundation Certification) is also required.
- Demonstrated project management experience and deep knowledge of the Citi PPMP, with the ability to plan, coordinate, and deliver complex initiatives across multiple teams and workstreams.
- Proven stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage senior audiences, manage competing priorities, and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Demonstrated Prompt Engineering with the ability to build tools through the use of the AI.
- Strong ability to integrate and model data from diverse sources, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and performance at scale.
- Clear and confident communicator, able to convey technical and program-level concepts in plain language to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Beneficial Skills & Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Project Management, or equivalent.
- Formal project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent, reflecting structured PMO experience.
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks, including access controls, lifecycle management, and content certification practices.
- Experience defining and scaling platform governance in a large, matrixed organization.
- Knowledge of industry standards and emerging practices in data visualization, business intelligence, and analytics platform management.
