This is an opportunity to play a central role in how Citi's Client Organization manages its financial and headcount operations, sitting within the Client COO team that directly supports the Chief Client Officer. As a Financial Management & Headcount Associate, you will coordinate and deliver key operational processes from financial reporting and headcount management to controls evidencing and stakeholder coordination ensuring accuracy, consistency, and efficiency across a globally connected team. You will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional partners to keep critical business routines running smoothly and to drive continuous improvement across reporting and operational processes.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the delivery of headcount and financial management processes, ensuring deadlines are met and stakeholders across the Client Organization are kept informed and aligned.
- Consolidate and reconcile financial and headcount data from multiple sources, using Excel to identify discrepancies and ensure consistency across reporting cycles.
- Manage milestone reporting processes end-to-end, maintaining quality, accuracy, and timeliness across business-critical outputs.
- Collate, review, and file audit trail documentation including emails and supporting materials to evidence controls and maintain clear operational records.
- Document business-as-usual protocols and operational procedures to support team continuity and process standardization.
- Identify and support the remediation of self-identified issues, coordinating with internal teams to resolve gaps and improve operational quality.
- Deliver ad-hoc project support for the Client COO team, contributing to strategic initiatives and operational improvements as priorities evolve.
Required qualifications & skills
- 6 or more years of experience in financial services or a related industry, with a clear track record of delivering in complex, fast-paced environments.
- Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to consolidate, reconcile, and analyze large datasets accurately and efficiently.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to manage high volumes of work without compromising quality or accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage shifting priorities and deliver multiple tasks concurrently under pressure.
- Clear and confident communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of a global organization.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
Beneficial skills & qualifications
- Familiarity with data visualization or collaboration tools such as Tableau or SharePoint, used to improve reporting efficiency and team coordination.
- Experience working with AI tools or prompting techniques to streamline operational tasks and enhance productivity.
- Knowledge of how large financial institutions operate, including an understanding of Citi's products, services, or organizational structure.
- Previous experience in business execution or project management, with exposure to program governance or strategic initiative delivery.
- A Master's degree or postgraduate qualification in a relevant field.
