Citi is looking for a Senior Business Office Specialist, Communications & Engagement to serve as a strategic partner to the LATAM Network Lead, driving communication strategy, site coordination, and employee engagement across Citi's Costa Rica site. In this role, you will connect leadership priorities to on-the-ground execution, ensuring that messaging, initiatives, and site-wide commitments are delivered with consistency, clarity, and impact. This is a high-visibility opportunity to shape how a major Citi site communicates, engages, and operates at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of the Costa Rica site communication strategy, ensuring all messaging is clear, cohesive, and aligned with leadership priorities across the organization.
  • Develop high-quality communications, executive presentations, and materials for senior leadership forums, town halls, and key engagement events that support informed decision-making.
  • Translate site performance data, metrics, and operational insights into compelling executive-level narratives that inform strategy and drive action.
  • Coordinate and align site-wide initiatives across the Costa Rica Business Office team, maintaining rigorous tracking of actions, ownership, and timelines to ensure disciplined follow-through.
  • Collaborate with HR and Business Office partners to advance employee engagement programs, culture initiatives, and recognition efforts that strengthen the overall site experience.
  • Monitor Costa Rica market and country dynamics to proactively surface relevant insights and trends that inform the site narrative and leadership perspective.
  • Represent the Costa Rica site in external engagements and support community and social responsibility initiatives, reinforcing the site's presence and positioning.
  • Develop monthly communication metrics to measure the effectiveness of the communication plan and provide data-driven recommendations to senior leadership.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 8 or more years of experience in communications, business management, or strategic coordination roles, with a demonstrated ability to operate at a senior level.
  • Ability to develop and execute communication strategies that reach multiple audience levels, from frontline employees to senior leadership.
  • Skilled at synthesizing complex data and performance metrics into clear, executive-ready narratives and presentation materials.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent priorities in a complex, matrixed environment while maintaining consistent attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to build and sustain effective working relationships with senior stakeholders, influencing outcomes without direct authority.
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and the production of executive-level presentations.
  • Proficiency in AI tools for content creation and data analysis to enhance communications output and operational reporting.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

Beneficial Skills & Qualifications

  • Background in financial services, with familiarity of the industry's operating environment and stakeholder expectations.
  • Experience in marketing or brand communications, particularly in developing content that builds awareness with stakeholders.
  • Project management experience, with the ability to coordinate cross-functional workstreams, track deliverables, and drive initiatives through to completion.
  • Master's degree in communications, business administration, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with Costa Rica's business landscape, including awareness of country-level economic and market dynamics relevant to external positioning.
