Team/Role Overview
The Issuer and Investor Services Middle Office Operations team at Citi is seeking a diligent and analytical Fund Accounting Analyst. In this role you will play a crucial role in a variety of fund valuation activities. The overall objective is to perform detailed analysis, conduct reconciliations, and resolve complex issues in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team. What you will do:
Conduct detailed analysis and reconciliation of transactions, meticulously identifying and investigating discrepancies, and collaborating with front office, custodians, and other internal/external parties to ensure timely resolution.
Serve as a responsive and knowledgeable point of contact for inquiries from portfolio managers and other operational teams, fostering strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Monitor all work activities to ensure timeliness, accuracy, and strict adherence to established procedures and controls, actively supporting fraud quality control measures.
Contribute to the team's development by assisting in the creation of training materials, supporting the implementation of procedural changes, and performing in-depth analysis of transactions.
Appropriately assess risk in all decision-making, demonstrating a commitment to protecting the firm and our clients while ensuring full compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
Act as a subject matter expert and an escalation point for complex questions and research items from colleagues.
What we will need from you:
2-5 years of experience in Fund Accounting, Transaction Services, or a related Middle Office Operations role.
Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different teams and with external partners.
A foundational understanding of financial instruments and the trade lifecycle.
Experience with fund accounting platforms (e.g., Multifonds) is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
Proficiency in English.
