Citi is looking for a Securities Settlement Analyst to join its Operations – Transaction Services team, where you will play a central role in the clearance, settlement, and resolution of Taiwan cash securities transactions. This position offers the opportunity to contribute directly to the integrity of trade flow processes within a global financial institution, working alongside experienced professionals across trading and operations functions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end clearance and settlement of Taiwan cash securities transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across all processing stages.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve settlement issues, escalating complex cases to the appropriate teams and recommending actionable solutions.
  • Analyse operational data using structured methodologies to surface process improvement opportunities and deliver recommendations to leadership.
  • Monitor transaction activity to detect and correct errors early, reducing operational risk to the firm.
  • Participate in the implementation of new products, platform upgrades, and assigned projects, contributing to operational readiness and smooth go-live execution.
  • Identify gaps in existing policies and develop updated guidelines that streamline trade flow processes and strengthen controls.
  • Deliver on-the-job guidance and informal training to newer team members, supporting team capability and continuity.
  • Uphold compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies, and escalate control issues with transparency when identified.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • At least 3 years of experience in securities operations, settlement, or a closely related financial services function.
  • Active Taiwan securities broker licence, as required for this role.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Equity products, accounting principles, and Taiwan securities regulatory rules and policies.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both written and spoken English across operational and stakeholder contexts.
  • Capacity to manage concurrent tasks and resolve competing priorities within a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Accounting, or Finance.

Beneficial Skills & Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Treasury products and their operational handling within a financial institution.
  • Working knowledge of macros or data automation tools to support reporting and process efficiency.
  • Experience contributing to the launch of new financial products or services within an operations context.

In this role, you’re expected to:

  • Process clearance and settlement of Taiwan cash securities transactions

  • Utilize data analysis tools and methodologies, in conjunction with professional judgement to make process improvement recommendations

  • Resolve settlement related issues and escalate as needed; recommend solutions to resolve complex issues

  • Participate in the implementation of assigned projects, including new products, services and upgrades to platforms

  • Identify policy gaps and formulate new policies to enhance the streamlining of trade flow processes

  • Monitor and provide solutions to errors to minimize risk to the firm

  • Provide informal guidance, and/or on the job training to new team members

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience

  • Proficient in English

  • Required Taiwan securities broker license

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrated comprehension of Equity products, accounting and Taiwan securities related regulatory rules and policies

  • Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience in Business, Accounting, or Finance
