Team/Role Overview:
Citi's Services organisation provides an integrated suite of innovative and tailored cash management and trade and working capital solutions to multinational corporations, financial institutions, and public sector organisations. Citi's Trade & Working Capital business is the market leader in delivering global trade and working capital financing solutions across sectors.
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Global Segments Market Manager to lead the strategic management and development of Core Trade products across the UK, Europe, Middle East, and Africa, with a focus on driving MENA and UAE growth.
This role will be responsible for the growth and delivery of core trade business to the Commercial Bank and Corporate Bank Mass Market client segments. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in core trade (trade services & finance), product management, and regional market strategy. This role will focus on driving segment-specific growth, enhancing product offerings, and ensuring seamless execution across multiple regions.
What you’ll do:
Product Strategy & Development:
- Develop and execute market-specific strategies for core trade products, including Letters of Credit, Guarantees, and Documentary Collections.
- Identify and address customer needs by aligning product offerings with market demands.
- Innovate and enhance existing core trade solutions to maintain competitive edge.
Market and Segment Analysis:
- Conduct market research and analyse regional trends across UK, Middle East, Africa, and Europe to identify growth opportunities.
- Define customer segments and tailor trade product solutions to meet specific segment requirements.
- Monitor competitive landscape to adapt strategies and maintain market leadership.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with sales, operations, and regional teams to ensure the effective delivery of trade products to our client segments.
- Act as a liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders, including financial institutions and regulatory bodies.
- Support training and development initiatives for sales teams to enhance product understanding.
Risk and Compliance Management:
- Ensure all product offerings comply with local and international trade regulations.
- Collaborate with risk and compliance teams to mitigate operational and credit risks.
Performance and Reporting:
- Set performance metrics for core trade products and ensure delivery of revenue and growth targets.
- Provide regular reports on product performance, market trends, and regional dynamics to senior management.
- Track customer satisfaction and address feedback to improve product offerings.
What we’ll need from you:
- Significant experience in core trade, trade finance, or product management, with exposure to international markets and focus on commercial banking and/or corporate banking.
- In-depth knowledge of core trade and trade finance instruments and global trade ecosystems.
- Proven expertise in market analysis, product development, and segment strategy execution.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Adept at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with regional trade regulations and compliance requirements.
- Willingness to travel
- Proficiency in English (additional regional languages are a plus).
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, or related
- MBA preferred or equivalent in Business Management / Banking or Chartered Accountant / CFA / CPA.
