The Financing and Clearing Platform Sr. Lead Analyst is responsible for setting the strategic direction, driving transformative revenue growth, and ensuring Citi's platforms maintain market leadership through proactive innovation and robust risk management. This senior leadership role significantly contributes to the firm's financial success by spearheading cutting-edge platform development, optimizing operational efficiency, and delivering unparalleled client service. The role will lead key initiatives that position Citi at the forefront of the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Oversight and Leadership of Trading Profit & Loss Drivers: Directly leads and provides executive oversight for the firm's trading revenues, financing expenses, and critical business metrics. Drives the identification, assessment, and realization of significant revenue enhancement opportunities. Develops and implements comprehensive growth strategies in partnership with senior sales and trading leadership. Provides executive guidance and leadership in managing complex business metrics and optimizing the overall revenue mix.
  • Driving Innovation and Strategic Platform Development: Leads the strategic vision, roadmap, and execution of complex, cross-functional enhancements to platform capabilities. Directs the gathering, prioritization, and documentation of high-level requirements for strategic functionality enhancements. Establishes and manages strategic relationships with senior technology, operations, legal, compliance, risk, and other key stakeholders, steering solution design and delivery for critical business and market-wide initiatives.
  • Regulatory and Industry Thought Leadership: Drives and shapes the firm's proactive response to key regulatory and industry changes that impact business lines and clients, with a deep focus on regulations governing trading activities. Leads strategic discussions and influences internal and external stakeholders on adjusting business direction to address material developments. Acts as a primary trusted advisor to clients and represents the firm in external industry forums and discussions.
  • Executive Risk and Control Oversight: Establishes, enforces, and continuously evolves robust risk and control frameworks to ensure paramount regulatory compliance and operational excellence. Provides executive oversight and directs actions to strengthen the supervision and control of business risk around significant events (expiries, roll periods, settlements etc.). Leads strategic collaboration with senior in-business Risk and Credit teams on client activity, ensuring comprehensive data, insights, and proactive mitigation strategies.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in prime brokerage or futures and clearing, with a proven track record of successful strategic program execution, significant revenue growth, and leadership in complex environments.
  • Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical prowess, and conceptual leadership. Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable strategies, anticipating market trends, and driving significant business outcomes across diverse business units.
  • Profit & Loss and Financial Acumen: Extensive executive oversight and direct management of significant business Profit & Loss, financial resource allocation, and capital optimization strategies across large-scale trading operations. Deep expert understanding of capital requirements and financial accounting principles.
  • Executive Client Relationships: Deeply established and influential client relationships at the executive level, demonstrating a superior track record in driving strategic partnerships, understanding complex client needs, and shaping market solutions.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Proven ability to lead and influence across diverse functions at an executive level, fostering high-performing cross-functional teams to deliver transformative product capabilities and drive market leadership.
  • Program Management Excellence: Extensive experience in strategically planning, directing, and successfully executing large-scale, complex programs and initiatives across technology, operations, and business domains.
  • Regulatory & Industry Expertise: Expert-level knowledge and thought leadership in regulatory and industry requirements associated with financing and clearing product sets. Demonstrated ability to anticipate, interpret, and influence regulatory changes.
  • Risk Management: Comprehensive executive experience in designing, implementing, and overseeing advanced operational, market, and credit risk mitigation strategies, with a focus on enterprise-wide impact.
  • Communication & Influence: Exceptional executive communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, with a proven ability to inspire and lead diverse, high-performing teams towards ambitious strategic objectives in a highly matrixed global organization.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
  • Master's degree strongly preferred.
