The International Operations Business Execution (BE) ASIA SOUTH Cluster Lead is a critical strategic partner responsible for driving key Business Execution deliverables, enabling the Operations organization to achieve its day-to-day goals and long-term priorities. The core focus areas include Governance, Controls, and Client & Franchise.
The role is responsible for supporting ASIA SOUTH cluster operations and Operations Heads in driving and executing cross-Operations strategy and goals. The BE Lead will partner with country and cluster management teams to ensure appropriate governance, in alignment with global Citi standards and practices.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Operational Planning
- Act as a strategic partner to the Cluster Operations Head and CSS Business Execution Head, driving strategic planning to align operational capabilities with business goals.
- Oversee a portfolio of key projects, special initiatives, and enterprise programs to ensure successful and strategic execution.
- Lead efforts to streamline key processes across the cluster, establishing clear governance by defining process ownership and resolving cross-functional ownership disputes to ensure operational integrity.
Governance, Reporting & Compliance
- Drive and champion a robust governance culture, managing senior forum meetings, agendas, and tracking escalations.
- Support regulatory engagements, audits, and coordinate submissions and information requests as required.
- Oversee the operational risk environment, support key risk attestations, and escalate control issues with transparency.
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
- Drive leadership's communication strategy, content, and multi-level distribution across all channels.
- Provide comprehensive senior leadership support, including calendar management, meeting agendas, presentation materials, and coordination for senior visits.
- Facilitate extensive stakeholder collaboration across country, cluster, and global teams -to ensure strategic alignment.
Organisational Support
- Maintain organizational clarity through org charts and responsibility maps, and coordinate key leadership travel and events.
- Support Ops leads as required for high-level talent management, succession planning, and recruitment for key roles.
- Drive and champion culture through inclusion, risk initiatives, and VOE action plans.
Qualifications
Required Experience
- 10+ years of experience in Banking, Operations, Business Management.
- 5+ years of experience in a role requiring extensive cross-functional and global stakeholder management.
- Proven track record of delivering complex, strategic initiatives in a large, matrixed organization.
- Demonstrated expertise in governance, operational risk management, and control practices.
- Strong commercial awareness and experience facilitating strategic business reviews.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree is a plus.
Technical & Leadership Skills
- Superior analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong negotiation, executive influence, and articulate communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity, resolve complex issues, and drive solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities simultaneously.
- High proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
