The Business Analytics Senior Group Manager will be responsible for the development and implementation of world-class analytics to drive business growth and deliver on financial commitments. Primary focus is to lead Citi’s US Credit Cards (USCC) portfolio optimization through Acquisitions of new customers across Proprietary and Partnership Cards products, leveraging optimized targeting strategies and drawing on in-depth Credit Cards expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Cards Acquisitions Analytics across all channels (e.g., including Digital, Paid Media, Direct Mail) for both new prospects and existing customers across Citi’s USCC portfolios, including targeting strategies and valuations of expected economic impact
  • Enable planning and execution of Cards Acquisitions marketing campaigns through analytical insights on targeting strategies and prospect valuations, including through omni-channel strategies
  • Lead performance analytics efforts to ensure implemented Cards Acquisitions strategies perform as expected
  • Deliver on USCC’s testing agenda to enable continuous improvement and innovation of Acquisitions strategies and potential expansions into new customer segments
  • Collaborate closely with business and functional partners (including Marketing, Finance, Risk, Technology) to develop and implement Cards Acquisitions strategies informed by analytical insights
  • Manage a team of professionals directly and indirectly to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for team (e.g. performance evaluations, hiring, terminations, and disciplinary actions) as well as negotiate and make decisions on issues/activities having critical impact/influence on company revenues, capital, or business operations; may be involved or responsible for diverse (cross-discipline) activities.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards
  • Play key leadership role as senior member of USCC Analytics and Pricing team

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience, including 8-10+ years' managerial experience
  • Analytics leader with experience in Credit Card Acquisitions across Digital, Paid Media, and Direct Mail channels, both based on pure prospect data as well as existing customer information
  • Must demonstrably understand the data sources and analytic techniques that are used at scale by large Credit Card/consumer finance institutions, but also have significant experience leading and innovating in the areas of cross-channel/omni-channel marketing, digital cards Acquisitions and attribution, audience development, and targeting strategies through appropriate business intelligence, analysis, models and strategies
  • Excellent team player; ability to lead, partner and negotiate with cross-functional teams to successfully deliver client needs and experience working directly with business/functional partners to ensure optimal design and delivery of consumer facing solutions;
  • Excellent influencing and execution skills in ambiguous contexts
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; should be able to articulate a strategy that stakeholders will accept, including colleagues in the areas of information technology, operations, marketing, finance, credit, fraud, and authorizations, in order to build next-generation targeting ecosystems, data platforms and analytics solutions that create sustainable business growth outcomes
  • Passion for analytics as a craft and the people who practice it; be a practitioner and an advocate for the value of analytics in refining business outcomes and must have a demonstrated ability to work within a company and across industries to identify and source talent, design required training to cover analytics skills gaps, and grow and promote analytics talent

Education:

  • Bachelors/University degree, Master’s degree preferred; managerial experience
