Citi is looking for a senior Learning leader to shape and drive the end-to-end Learning and Development strategy across our global Markets, Services, and Early Career populations.
As a member of the Learning leadership team reporting to the Global Head of Learning, you will lead multiple teams of learning professionals, partner directly with senior business and HR leaders, and translate organizational priorities into measurable capability-building outcomes. This is a role with full ownership of strategy, people, and budget for your coverage areas, with the authority to make decisions that directly influence business performance.
Responsibilities
- Create and lead the Learning and Development strategy for Markets, Services, and Early Career programs, ensuring alignment with global business goals and organizational priorities.
- Build and maintain senior partnerships with business leaders, HR partners, subject matter experts, and external vendors to design solutions that drive performance improvement and lasting behavior change.
- Identify and prioritize capability-building and cultural development opportunities by translating business and HR needs into targeted, high-impact learning interventions.
- Lead, develop, and manage multiple teams of learning professionals responsible for designing and delivering learning programs across Markets, Services, and Early Careers.
- Own the full learning budget for your portfolio, ensuring investment is directed toward measurable business outcomes.
- Establish a consistent framework for measuring the effectiveness of learning initiatives and communicate results and strategic impact to HR and business stakeholders.
- Monitor external market trends in learning and talent development to anticipate future capability requirements and proactively adapt the strategy accordingly.
- Ensure all learning decisions reflect sound risk awareness, regulatory adherence, and ethical standards, maintaining accountability across the team for compliance with applicable policies.
Qualifications & Skills
- 15+ years of professional experience, including at least 10 years in a senior people management capacity.
- Demonstrated ability to lead organizational design and talent development at scale, with a track record of building effective team structures across large or complex environments.
- Expertise in developing and executing a Learning and Development strategy across multiple business lines, regions, or functions simultaneously.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience advising and influencing senior business and HR leadership at a regional or global level.
- Clear and concise communicator, both in writing and verbally, with the ability to engage and influence a wide range of audiences, including executive stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented and self-directed, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with particular strength in Microsoft Excel for planning, reporting, and budget management.
Beneficial Skills & Qualifications
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Business, or a related field.
- Experience working within financial services or a similarly regulated, complex industry environment.
- Familiarity with external learning market trends, emerging talent development methodologies, and capability frameworks at an enterprise scale.
