Markets Operations Belfast Overview:

Our Operations groups are core to the success of the Markets business. We support a wide range of internal stakeholders including Front Office Sales and Trading Desks, Compliance, Legal, Finance and HR; alongside having significant interaction with external clients, playing a key role in the overall client experience.

Role Overview:

The Asset Servicing Intermediate Analyst is a developing professional role. Deals with most problems independently and has some latitude to solve complex problems. Integrates in-depth specialty area knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices.

What you’ll do:

• Play an instrumental role in ensuring the Corporate Action Event Management Team meets its targets in validating and enriching announcement details.
• Pursue companies and agents for missing Corporate Action information

• Liaise with colleagues across Market Operations to ensure corporate action events are processed accurately and in a timely manner.

• Assisting team manager with risk management and ensuring timely escalation of at risk items.
• Provide clients with prompt responses to queries to ensure excellent client service is maintained.
• Minimizes risk to the bank through the appropriate application of procedural requirements and adherence to audit and control policies

What we’ll need from you:

• Previous experience in data analysis
• Communicates with tact and diplomacy in order to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information
• Deals with problems independently
• Risk mindset

Education:

• Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience

Successful candidates will attend a three week Market Operations Training Academy.

This aims to help you understand how Markets Operations work and where your role fits in in Citi while also providing you with all the tools needed to be the best you can be in your new role.
