Citi Treasury manages the balance sheet, capital, and liquidity of Citigroup; provides corporate oversight of liquidity, interest rate, and currency translation risks; and supports businesses with risk identification/management, product innovation, and funding strategy.

US Personal Banking (USPB) and Wealth Business Treasury focuses on asset/liability management, balance sheet planning, liquidity/capital optimization, and interest rate and liquidity risk management for the USPB and Wealth businesses. This unit serves as the principal point of contact in Treasury for the USPB and Wealth CFOs and the business and finance teams, ensuring that balance sheet priorities are taken into account in business decision-making processes. Additionally, this function works with the segment Finance team in implementing balance sheet allocation, optimization, and costing processes. Business Treasury also has first line responsibility for Interest Rate Risk (IRR) management of the USPB and Wealth business segments.

Job Description
This role will serve as a senior analyst in the USPB and Wealth Business Treasury team, with primary responsibility to support IRR related initiatives. The candidate is expected to have or develop subject matter expertise in balance sheet management, IRR, and financial planning, and to leverage that expertise to support various analyses surrounding IRR and strategic decisioning.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor IRR metrics, including Interest Rate Exposure (IRE) and Economic Value Sensitivity (EVS), and work closely with stakeholders across Citi Treasury to understand the drivers of IRR and periodic changes to those metrics for the USPB and Wealth businesses. Provide effective challenge to risk metrics that are reported monthly, ensure accuracy, and enhance review process.
• Develop strong understanding of IRR metrics and measurement at the product/business level. Coordinate reviews of IRR with responsible parties across businesses and regions.
• Perform review and reconciliation of balance data, detect potential reporting issues, and assist with data quality and reporting enhancements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across Citi Treasury on the development and implementation of new models and methodology while providing input from business perspective. Participate in deposit beta review process.
• Develop analytical solutions to build efficiencies within the IRR review process. Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvements.
• Assist in ad-hoc analyses surrounding IRR initiatives and strategy.

Qualifications:

• 3 years of Treasury ALM (non-trading market risk) related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Fund Transfer Pricing preferred.
• Previous experience with ALM/balance sheet management software.
• Hands-on experience in forecasting, stress testing, modeling, economic analysis.
• Thorough knowledge of fundamental balance sheet and P&L concepts.
• Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving capacity, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education:

• Undergraduate/Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related fields with 5+ years of relevant work experience.
