The Reporting and Helpdesk Analyst role will sit in the Office of Fair Lending and Privacy and be responsible for reporting and providing helpdesk support for select technology tools. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues and come up with most efficient course of action. Requires good analytical and technical skills.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement IBM Cognos / Tableau reports that meet business requirements and drive actionable insights on compliance risk systems and are optimized for performance, scalability, and usability.
- Maintain documentation of reports, including design specifications, data sources, and usage guidelines.
- Provide training and support to end-users on how to effectively use the reports and interpret the data. Support manual data quality testing as required.
- Provide self-service support for business reporting power users to drill-down to the raw data and for troubleshooting.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in data visualization, incorporating new techniques and tools as appropriate.
- Provide support by answering queries from the helpdesk and providing user training on tool functionalities. Determine and advise the cause of the problems that affect day-to-day functionality of the systems, propose creative solutions or workarounds and escalate to production support, where necessary.
- Ensure that enquiries to the helpdesk are responded to and resolved within agreed timeframes and maintain and update administration data, where required.
- Prevent recurrence of database and user problems by enhancing problem management records (knowledge base).
- Management reporting of business intelligence and other key Investments initiatives. Make presentation decks.
- Support management by providing ad hoc analysis on an as needed basis
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 3-6 years of relevant experience in the financial industry in a reporting or helpdesk role.
- Experience in Jira user story creation and user testing.
- Proficiency in IBM Cognos, Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server.
- Strong understanding of data visualization principles and best practices.
- Experience with SQL and database management (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle) preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to quickly grasp new concepts / requirements and related product / functional knowledge.
- Experience in compliance technologies relating to data privacy, records management or fair lending is a plus.
Education:
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience

$87,280.00 - $130,920.00
