CCB targets clients with revenues between US $10MM – US $3BN and supports a range of financial solutions: treasury and trade solutions, term and working capital financing, foreign exchange and interest rate derivatives products. With our partners in the Investment Bank we bring strategic solutions, often collaborating with partners in the Private Bank.

ROLE
CCB Nordics is a fast-growing business with the ambition to significantly scale up. CCB Nordics serves predominantly mid-sized corporate clients with annual sales of approximately US $100MM – US $3Bn who are operating internationally or have international ambitions. CCB Nordics also serves digital startups who wish to scale international operations rapidly. CCB Nordics currently consists of over 140 clients served by a team of approximately 35 across the 4 Nordic countries.
The franchise can fulfill its potential by up-tiering client relationships through client intensity, industry content and delivering the global network with partners in the Nordics and overseas. Equally important is gaining critical mass by broadening the client base across all four countries and multiple industries.
Client and people leadership as well as credit risk management is central to the role. By managing CCB Nordics you will have full responsibility to execute the business strategy, lead the team and manage the client P&L to ensure sustainable and predictable earnings through excellent client experience and risk management. Growth must be achieved within a sound control environment. You will work in close partnership with Citi’s global products, operations, and risk management at all levels to build the CCB franchise.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead CCB business for mid-sized companies across the Nordics.
- Drive differentiated solutions in the market to achieve growth targets, leveraging Citi global network.
- Senior client coverage for existing and prospect companies.
- Drive cross-selling products like cash management, trade, FX, capital markets and wealth management.
- Build and retain a high-performing team with focus on developing talent.
- Grow the credit portfolio by selecting and lending to industry winners.
- Leverage partnerships with industry and product experts as well as Nordic senior team.
- Collaborate closely with Risk, Compliance and Audit teams to ensure regulatory adherence.
- Internal and external face of the CCB Nordics franchise, communicating with partners and stakeholders.
SKILLS
- Extensive experience in commercial or corporate banking.
- Ability to engage with senior management and understand Nordic market trends.
- Strong strategic thinking and leadership skills to evaluate business priorities.
- Clear vision for growth and innovation for the Nordic CCB Business
- Ability to apply a global mindset to Nordic client solutions
- Strong execution skills to deliver client experience and franchise growth.
- Operating and executing at a fast pace, while navigating shifting priorities of a high growth business
- Solid understanding of corporate finance and investment banking products
- Ability to select industry winners, ensuring that we build a sound and high growth franchise
- Credit structuring skills, enabling portfolio growth in partnership with Risk.
- Team leadership skills, leading a growing and diverse team across multiple countries
- Proven interpersonal communication and collaboration abilities.
- Internal and external communication skills
QUALIFICATIONS
- Fluency in English, Swedish and ideally more Nordic languages.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in a commercial or corporate banking environment.
- Solid understanding of the banking industry, across all banking products as relevant for CCB.
- Experience in working in Nordics banking environment.
- Demonstrated ability to drive significant revenue/profit growth in a banking business.
- Experience in setting business strategy and risk appetite.
- Global mindset; experience in working with global/international companies and international banking
- Personal network among Nordic international companies.
- Strong risk skills from a global/well known bank or a Senior Credit Officer at Citi.
- Prior experience managing in a large and complex matrix organization.
- Proven execution skill as a banker and team leader.
- Experience in sales and performance management.
- Proven experience as a team leader.
- Experience in communicating with internal and external shareholders.
- Bachelor's degree required. Master's preferred.
