IT Asset Program Manager
Clark Construction Group
We need a strategic thinker to manage key vendor relationships, especially our offsite logistics partner, and a hands-on leader to take holistic ownership by establishing and enforcing rigorous, auditable processes. You will ensure our asset data is pristine, inventory is optimized, deployments are rapid, and compliance is maintained, all while controlling costs.
This is an onsite role based in our McLean, VA office.
Key Responsibilities
Program Development: Develop, implement, and govern a comprehensive ITAM framework (aligning with ITIL) for the entire hardware lifecycle—from procurement to disposal. This includes all end-user, networking, and AV equipment across all corporate and jobsite locations.
Process & Vendor Management: Establish, document, and enforce all hardware asset management procedures and SLAs for both internal teams and the external logistics vendor. Act as the primary relationship manager for this vendor, ensuring all processes are optimized for rapid deployment, efficient asset recovery, and a seamless end-user experience.
CMDB & Data Integrity: Own the ITAM functions in ServiceNow, ensuring the CMDB is the single source of truth for all asset data. Conduct regular audits and reconciliations (e.g., against vendor reports) to ensure data integrity, enforce process compliance, and drive continuous improvement.
Inventory & Financial Management: Monitor and maintain hardware stock levels to support new hires, break/fix, and rapid jobsite deployments. Partner with Finance and Procurement to forecast needs, assist with budgeting, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Compliance & Disposal: Ensure all asset processes, especially disposal, are secure, auditable, and compliant with policy. Manage the secure retrieval of all hardware from decommissioned sites and end-users. Retain data destruction certificates.
Reporting & Metrics: Develop and maintain KPIs and dashboards to report on asset status, compliance, and program effectiveness to senior leadership.
Qualifications & Experience
Experience: 5+ years in IT Asset Management, with a proven track record of building or managing an enterprise-level ITAM program.
Standards Expertise: Deep knowledge of ITAM/ITIL frameworks and a skill for designing robust, scalable asset processes.
Technical Skills: Strong experience with ITAM/CMDB platforms (ServiceNow preferred), discovery tools, and strong data analysis/reporting skills.
Vendor Management: Proven experience managing third-party logistics vendors, including contract participation and SLA enforcement.
Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex concepts and reasoning clearly to diverse audiences, from technical staff to senior executives.
Leadership & Initiative: A self-starter with the ability to work independently, manage projects, and foster a culture of brilliant execution.
Analytical & Data-Driven: Meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical skills to perform complex reconciliations and maintain accurate data for decision-making.
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications: ITIL Foundation, CITAM, CSAM, or similar.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, Finance, or a related field.
Industry Experience: Experience in construction, logistics, or a similar industry with a highly mobile workforce and distributed, temporary sites.
Familiarity: Knowledge of a wide range of IT hardware (networking, AV, mobile), MDM platforms (e.g., Intune, Jamf), and discovery tools.
