Craftmasters is a new vertical of Full Sail University, an award-winning educational leader with over 45 years of helping students pursue their dreams through real-world education.
Craftmasters is in a pre-launch build phase, and this role is structured intentionally around that reality. It begins as a part-time consulting engagement and transitions into a full-time, on-campus position as the campus approaches launch. This arrangement allows the Program Manager to make meaningful contributions during the development period without relocating or committing full-time before the campus is launch-ready.
Start date ASAP
Year 1: Part-time consulting engagement, approximately 10-20 hours per week averaged across a one-month span. Work can be performed remotely.
Year 2 and beyond: Full-time, on-campus role in Orlando, FL. Salary, benefits, and promotion pathway apply from this point forward. The transition from Phase 1 to Phase 2 is contingent on mutual fit established during the consulting engagement.
The Role
As Program Manager for the HVACR program, you will lead the day-to-day excellence of the program working within Craftmasters’ academic framework and educational standards. You’ll be responsible for faculty performance, student outcomes, curriculum relevance, and industry relationships. You’ll lead a team of Course Directors and Lab Specialists, ensure instruction stays current with NEC standards and emerging electrical technologies, and serve as the primary connection between Craftmasters and the electrical industry in our market. During the startup phase you will also carry a teaching load, and should also expect to step into the classroom as needed throughout your tenure.
This is a campus-based leadership role. You’ll be present, visible, and accountable for the quality of every student who comes through your program.
What You’ll Do
Lead the HVACR program including curriculum development, faculty supervision, and student retention
Help source and hire instructors who bring genuine field experience into the classroom, then coach and develop them once on board
Build and maintain relationships with industry employers and lead our Program Advisory Committee
Partner with Admissions and Marketing on program positioning and campus events
Monitor program outcomes and drive continuous improvement in completion and placement rates
Ensure compliance with ACCSC accreditation standards and state and Department of Education requirements
Who You Are
You’ve spent meaningful time in the field at an expert level and you’re ready to put that experience to work shaping the next generation of HVACR professionals. You lead naturally, communicate clearly, and hold high standards for yourself and your team. You may not have run a classroom before, but you’ve trained people, managed crews, and taken ownership of outcomes.
Qualifications
Minimum six (6) years of verifiable, expert-level HVACR field experience
Active HVACR licensure required
At least two (2) years in a supervisory or leadership capacity
Ability and willingness to teach program courses, particularly during the startup phase and as coverage needs arise
OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification required, or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire
EPA Section 608 Universal Certification required
Familiarity with ASHRAE standards preferred, NATE certification beneficial
