Application Support Analyst

This role serves as a key bridge between business stakeholders and IT, driving the design, support, and optimization of integrated workflows across critical systems. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, hands-on systems experience, and a solid understanding of commercial construction operations, with the ability to independently lead requirements gathering, troubleshooting, and solution delivery.
This is an onsite position based in our McLean, VA office.
Core Responsibilities
Collaborate with business stakeholders across Operations, Finance, and IT to gather, analyze, and document business requirements then translating to technical requirements.

Support and enhance core construction platforms, including:
Procore or Kahua (project management and field operations)
SAP (financials, job cost)
Textura (subcontractor invoicing and payments)
Analyze and support end-to-end workflows across integrated systems, ensuring data consistency and process efficiency
Troubleshoot and resolve system issues spanning multiple platforms, identifying root causes across integrations and data flows
Design and implement functional solutions within existing system architecture, including configuration, workflow improvements, and enhancements
Partner with integration teams to support interfaces, APIs, and data exchanges between enterprise systems and marketplace applications
Develop and maintain clear, structured documentation, including business requirements, process flows, and system specifications
Lead and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test case development and validation with stakeholders
Support system deployments, upgrades, and enhancements, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
Provide ongoing support for a portfolio of integrated marketplace applications, ensuring compatibility and alignment with core systems
Identify opportunities to improve business processes, particularly across project lifecycle stages (preconstruction, execution, closeout)
Serve as a mentor and resource for junior analysts, contributing to team knowledge and best practices
Basic Qualifications
3–6 years of experience as a Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role supporting enterprise applications

Hands-on experience with at least one of the following:
Construction project management systems (e.g., Procore, Kahua, or similar)
ERP systems (e.g., SAP or similar)
Demonstrated ability to gather and document requirements and translate them into functional solutions
Experience supporting integrated systems and cross-platform workflows
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis
Experience coordinating or supporting testing efforts (UAT, regression testing)
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for business users

Experience working within the commercial construction industry, with understanding of:
Job costing
Change orders
RFIs and submittals
Subcontractor management and invoicing

Direct experience with 2 or more:
apps such as Procore or Kahua (Construction Project Management)
SAP (finance or cost management modules)
Textura (Payment Management)
Coupa (Procurement)
Experience supporting system integrations, including APIs, middleware, or data interfaces
Proficiency in SQL or data analysis tools for troubleshooting and validation
Experience supporting third-party marketplace or add-on applications integrated with enterprise systems
Ability to map and improve cross-functional business processes
Experience leading small-to-medium initiatives or owning project workstreams
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field

The Physical Side of the Role: Given that a good portion of your day will be spent at a desk, you should be comfortable with prolonged periods of focused work, whether it's collaborating with colleagues, analyzing data, or developing strategies. The role demands effective communication and sharp visual acuity for reviewing complex documents and performing detailed computer work. While there are times for quiet concentration, you'll also be expected to move actively throughout the office and travel occasionally to various locations, including dynamic construction sites, utilizing different modes of transportation. The ability to lift and move objects up to 10 pounds regularly, and up to 25 pounds on occasion (think a box of files or small office equipment), is also required.
Your Work Environment: Your primary workspace will be in our professional office, which has a typical, quiet-to-moderate noise and light levels. As part of your work, you may also be required to visit active construction sites. These environments are naturally more dynamic and can include exposure to outdoor weather conditions, louder noise, and moving equipment.
