Your role at Clorox:
Our Plant Quality Leader will drive a culture that enhances the importance of quality across the entire operation and ensure products meet or exceed the expectations of our customers and consumers. Drive continuous improvement of product quality through an effective quality management system and thus ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.This role requires the ability to work cross-functional with all areas of the Plant and the Supply Chain at all levels both within Clorox and our supplier organizations.
In this role, you will:
- Drive a culture of quality within the plant team by leading Quality Control, Laboratory, and Compliance functions.
- Develop a diverse and high-performing organization that can drive growth while ensuring compliance.
- Provide strategic leadership and vision for quality journey milestones.
- Identify key leverage points to drive quality improvements.
- Establish credibility with the business management team to enhance product design and supply quality.
- Ensure Quality Control and Assurance at different manufacturing stages, from raw material reception to distribution, to deliver products that meet or exceed our company standards. This role is responsible of non-conformities and deviations, monitoring of microbiological control programs, RCA/PDCA/CAPA, monitoring of KPIs (PpLs, Cpk, Quality Notifications, Non-conformance cost, OEE, etc.), reporting and updating the information databases (ZONTEC, SAP, Intelex), among others.
- Lead the implementation and manage the Quality Management System (QMS) at the plant aligned with corporate policies and procedures, local regulations, ensuring the quality of raw materials and finished products.
- Continuously analyze quality systems to maintain the health of our QMS and report issues to Senior Management. Act as the primary contact for third-party and regulatory inspections and audits of the corporate QMS. Manage internal manufacturer release, internal auditing programs, and assist with Quality Management Review. Other responsibilities include:
- Document Management of company Policies, Procedures, and Standards, as well as safeguarding necessary records.
- Manage and lead the Change Control process in our operation.
- Continuous Improvement implementation through the collaboration with operational areas, being a reference in problem analysis by applying and promoting best practices (RCA, PDCA, SPC, WPO, TRACC, CIF), and maintaining corresponding databases (Intelex, Q-Tracks, SAP).
- Supplier Quality Management and evaluation program.
- Calibration Program and standards.
What we look for:
- 5 years of experience in Quality Department (preferably in CPG companies)
- 3 years leading Teams.
- 2 years in Supplier Quality Management
- Bachelor’s degree Graduated in Engineer related field (Industrial Engineer, Chemical Engineer, Packaging Engineer, etc.)
- Intermediate English (written and verbal communication with corporate for report generation and implementation of corporate directives)
- Intermediate MS Office skills: MS Excel, MS Power BI, One Drive, and SharePoint
- Deep knowledge and understanding of quality data management systems, including statistical process control.
- Proficiency in digital QMS systems
- Regulatory compliance management of ISO 9000
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills; experience in Lean Manufacturing, SSGB, or equivalent is desired.
- Strong partnership and sustainable collaboration skills, internally and externally.
- Highly flexible and adaptable, capable of working independently in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Strong leadership and influencing skills.
