Your role at Clorox:

The BU Materials Planning Manager is responsible for near, mid, and long-term planning activities of raw and packaging materials used for Clorox’s production across internal and unbundled external manufacturing.

In this role, you will:

  • Generate near, mid, and long-term materials forecast based on finished goods forecast.

  • Identify requirements to ensure long-term materials supply (e.g., supplier’s line capacity, mold capacity, etc.) Engage Procurement Team as needed.

  • Define and maintain system updates with MRP Parameters for all materials (lead-times, MOQ, Inventory min/max, Rounding value)

  • Execute materials inventory policy, including setting targets, monitoring, and reporting.

  • Identify and address recurring materials constraints.

  • Define and implement component (material) transition process in alignment with Project Management, BU Network Schedulers, Materials Planner, and Inventory Planning, including Artwork process updates.

  • Perform other duties assigned by Manager.

  • Maintain open communication with plant or EM personnel (e.g., Business Support Mgr. BU Network Scheduler, BU Network Materials Planner) on material availability and supplier performance. Seek plant input to set master data parameters.

  • Support site-level issue resolution, escalate to Procurement and GQA as needed.

  • For materials shared across multiple plants, coordinate with peer sites all aspects of supply (e.g., volume forecast, allocation, supplier performance tracking, etc.)

  • Monitor material planning related performance metrics across sites (e.g., customer service level impact from materials availability, On Time In Full, Quality Notifications)

  • Ensure MM&P processes abidance across the network (i.e., BU Network Scheduler and Materials Planner, Procurement, QA, etc.), and conduct training, as needed.

  • Identify losses and participate in materials planning improvement opportunities.

What we look for:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in Supply Chain, planning, procurement, and/or manufacturing role.

  • Knowledge of supply chain planning principles and interactions between production plan, demand plan, material plans.

  • BA/BS Degree

  • Knowledge of, and experience with forecasting and planning tools (e.g., Excel, SAP, PowerBI, Kinaxis - Rapid Response, etc.)

  • Ability to react quickly to material / supplier-related issues and challenges.

  • Ability to provide clear guidance and direction to executional teams when issue arises.

  • Highly analytical mindset with fact-based, data-driven problem solving.

  • Flexibility manifesting in ability to manage and prioritize planned and unplanned work.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Strong leadership skills with ability to lead and manage a team when needed.

Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.

Zone A: $86,600 - $161,900
Zone B: $79,400 - $148,400
Zone C: $72,100 - $134,900

This job is also eligible for participation in Clorox’s incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
